Dispatches of the British Teams on Mount Everest. British Everest Dispatches 16. The Chinese Tibetan Mountaineering Association (CTMA) closed the North side of Mount Everest today, the 29th April for fear of after shocks. All the teams (apart from the Himex team) on the Nepal side of Mount Everest have now left Base Camp, either by helicopter or by foot and heading back towards Kathmandu. The Himalayan Experience team (there are no UK climbers on this team as far as I know), still remain at Base Camp.
