Sunday, December 7, 2014. Oil Painting Tip - Take a Nap. 8x10 Oil on panel. The painting is now complete after three sessions. Each layer of oils was dry to touch before applying the next. Monday, January 26, 2015. 20x20 Oil on linen. Original Sold/ Prints are available. This painting was completed before my latest commissions and functioned as a model for their style. I used a linen canvas, applying oils with mostly flat brushes. The variety of lines and forms in the background seem to draw attention to the main subject, while suggesting the environmental elements of water and vegetation through color. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. 12x12x1.5” Cradled Canvas. Prints and Original Available. This seascape sends a new message, as compared to the last three paintings. The mood is quiet, relaxing, and rather uneventful…. The width of brush strokes and their application was also important. With the extensive blending and thin washes of paint, the water appears smooth. Thanks for your comments! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Florida, United States. Hello and welcome to my blog!
