http://sam-designs.blogspot.com/2011/08/find-share-type-in-motion.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Find share / type in motion. Browsing the web for inspiration is something you don't have to ask me twice to do. I found some awesome examples that I'd like to share. I found this over summer, actually, and have been continually revisiting it. How it shows the iterative process in a quick, fun, attractive way is really cool to see. This video has a lot of type that is integrated into its surroundings really well. Type Fluid Experiment "A". DeepGreenSea - Showreel 2010.

sam(antha)'s designprocess: Final Deliverable: Amish Print and iPad Magazine Layouts
http://sam-designs.blogspot.com/2011/05/final-deliverable-amish-print-and-ipad.html
Thursday, May 5, 2011. Final Deliverable: Amish Print and iPad Magazine Layouts. I can't believe Type 2 is already over. There is still a vast field of knowledge that I still don't know. I already miss Marty and her feedback, but thankfully she has a wonderful open door policy. This project has been really. fun. I basically created this magazine with my Grandpa in mind. He lives 30 minutes away from Amish country, lives on a farm himself, but still subscribes to Time. Where I struggled the most with the ...

sam(antha)'s designprocess: WF: "OurTube" project, beginning promotions.
http://sam-designs.blogspot.com/2011/06/wf-ourtube-project-beginning-promotions.html
Sunday, June 12, 2011. WF: "OurTube" project, beginning promotions. The first major project of my internship at the Wonder Fair is called the "Our Tube" project. The gallery was invited to essentially take over the Spencer Art Museum Gallery this summer. What Wonder Fair decided to do was curate You Tube videos and show them in a "serious" (that's not quite the right word.) space. In addition to the set of videos, we will be making our own response videos to the originals. This is how it begins to look w...

Monday, August 22, 2011. ReB00T:/ JuniorYear.dmg, re:Summer2011.doc. Summer ended rather abruptly. Before we dive in to the new semester, I'd like to briefly share what I've been up to. I worked for the Wonder Fair. Gallery for two months this summer. During that time, I produced one postcard, seven short films, and a series of prose poems. As you can see, I had lots of fun. The true test will be to wait and see what happens when the first tasks are thrown at me. And boy howdy, I better be ready.

sam(antha)'s designprocess: Matrix: Rhetoric
http://sam-designs.blogspot.com/2011/08/matrix-rhetoric.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. Fun fact, the sequels to the Matrix film start with the letter R, Matrix Reloaded. My Working Word List:. Rhythm Section (piano, drums, synthesizer). Other Good Terms Not Used:. In the group with Jamie at the helm, we discussed and selected some interesting tropes to move forward with. This is a personification of "accent". We liked how this showed the instruments of the quartet as well as the technical nature of their sound. Posted by Samantha Kearns. Find me here, too.

http://sam-designs.blogspot.com/2011/06/wonder-fair-day-one.html
Sunday, June 5, 2011. Wonder Fair, Day One. After a month long hiatus, I'm officially "ready" to use my process blog again. The mental break was much needed. Today is my first day at the Wonder Fair. My main role is to be an intern, let them throw tasks at me, observe and work, and then process and analyze what is happening around me and what I am accomplishing. So far, it's been, shall we say, "interesting". My first encounter here began like this:. In addition to the weekly task of watching the gallery...
