8220;I’ll tell you why your son died. He believed in your church more than he believed in himself! Monday, June 13, 2011. June 14, 2011 at 11:13 PM. I love this play (or movie). My mind stretched as I experienced this poignant recognition of meaning and value in one who had been labeled evil. Accepting a label like that can harm individuals and families. This work gave me an unexpected perspective. I look forward to having a copy and to share with those I love. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Facing East - The Film
http://facingeastthefilm.com/index.htm
Unexpectedly Andrew’s partner Marcus arrives at the cemetery, thinking he would be alone. Ruth and Alex come to know their son in a way they never had before through the love and the anger of Marcus, and they come to realize the part they played in Andrew’s despair and his terrible, final act. Near-sacred stillness and elegance in this lament for a civil war.
