THE TALISKER WHISKY ATLANTIC CHALLENGE. INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT SURVIVING AT SEA. Wet wipes are used in abundance as this is the only way of having a "Shower" and keeping those very smelly spots hygienically clean. We use a bucket and "chuck it" method as a toilet! We consume only freeze dried food as carrying fresh produce is obviously not an option. Sleep deprivation becomes part of your daily routine as you row two hours on two hours off.

THE TALISKER WHISKY ATLANTIC CHALLENGE. The boats are approximately 7.5 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, which means we won’t be able to walk about freely on board. . The boats are built of wood, fibre glass, carbon fibre and Kevlar. . Our boat has two small cabins. One used mainly for equipment and the other for sleeping and the only protection against the might of the ocean and powerful sun rays. . If the weather proves too much for the boat and it capsizes, all the vessels are able to self-right.
