Farmhouse Remix: Meet the Jetsons
http://farmhouseremix.blogspot.com/2011/12/meet-jetsons.html
Saturday, December 3, 2011. We've been in the farmhouse for three weeks now. As soon as we had a shower, a toilet, a fridge, and our trusty George Foreman we deemed the place fit to live. Some might question this. But the past three weeks have been supremely happy. I was roaming through Lowe's last winter (gotta keep an eye on the deals) and low and behold I stumble upon the Micro-oven. Originally retails for $2600 (stupid money) and was marked down to $650. Found out that this wasn't just your a...I cal...

Thursday, November 17, 2011. The past few weeks have been crazy-busy. sorry we haven't posted in so long. We've been spending so much time on the farm that by the end of the night putting together a blog seems sort of impossible. But here it is, the long over-due pictures of the progress! Celebratory Champagne (thanks Ashley and Patrick! The first thing to go into our new and fully functional fridge! Progress in the Bathroom! Progress in the Den! Carpet in the den going in! We have a pellet stove!

Farmhouse Remix: October 2011

Sunday, October 23, 2011. Many hands make light work. A cherry picker makes it a little easier too! It's been quite a while since our last post and let me tell you, a lot has happened. Let's start with plumbing. Next on to what everyone who only looks at the pictures has been waiting for. Drywall! I brought the lawn mower down with me today to cut down the jungle that's been growing. The area beside the road was bushwhacked down is little time. Monday, October 17, 2011. Sunday, October 9, 2011. Over the ...

Farmhouse Remix: August 2011
http://farmhouseremix.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. It was a busy day at the Farm. truckload upon truckload of gravel and sand were delivered to the backyard and dumped; a septic tank was lowered by crane into the ground; a leach field was piped in; and more scraping and painting happened. The scraping of paint seems endless, I thought I was pretty much done with it after today but realized that I still have the trim to do! Realized that I hadn't put a full photo of the Farm up yet! The Farm this morning. The Farm this evening.

Farmhouse Remix: About
http://farmhouseremix.blogspot.com/p/about.html
This is the story of two people, their dog, the old farmhouse they bought, and the outpouring of love that followed. It's an ongoing tale. After about a year in the basement we finally found a place that was in our price range (i.e. dirt cheap; read: major fixer-upper). Renovations continue and this blog shall serve as: evidence, a friends and family updater, and a venue for readers interested in watching us attempt to restore this old farmhouse. This is where we pick up the story.

Farmhouse Remix: September 2011
http://farmhouseremix.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. What's Yellow and Green with Rusty spots all over? The Big News from the weekend. We're now proud tractor owners! And not just any kind of tractor, we've got ourselves a genuine yellow and green John Deere tractor. Jeff has been teaching me to distinguish between a lawn. Tractor and a garden. Tractor. We have a garden. Tractor which means we can attach all sorts of cool things like: a snow-blower, a rototiller, and of course the mower. I Give to You: a Series: a Progression.
