Laquo; But what about the rats? How to keep rats out of your NYC garden. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. A Zen Approach to Garden Weeds. I spent hours at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Last week. I went there specifically looking for the Wisteria, which is my spirit flower, and which I love so much that smelling it makes me feel high and looking at it makes my pupils dilate. For example, I punched drainage holes in the bottom of found tall metal trash bins from Ikea to grow my potatoes. I also drilled drainage holes into large Rubbermaid storage tubs to grow corn. Tursch's Garden Blog: Creating a Lasagna Garden
http://turschgardenblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/creating-lasagna-garden.html
Tursch's MyFolia Garden Journal. Sunday, August 14, 2011. Creating a Lasagna Garden. I started my first Lasagna garden spring 2011 along a border of mostly pachysandra and other shrubs. I laid out a hose to mark the perimeter of the garden. Poured lime along the hose to create the outline of the bed. Started laying out newspaper over the grass. Some soil and compost are holding down the newspaper. Vinyl edging installed to keep the pachysandra from encroaching. We'll see if that works. A Way to Garden.
