Leat's Favorite Recipes: Turkey Burgers, Oven Fries

http://leatsfavoriterecipes.blogspot.com/2012/01/turkey-burgers-oven-fries.html

Friday, January 6, 2012. Turkey Burgers, Oven Fries. Like I've said before, we've gone to ground turkey in place of beef. But with all the seasonings and toppings, they still taste great. 1 lb ground turkey, thawed. 1 tsp garlic salt. 1 tsp worcestshire sauce. 2 Tbl dijon mustard. Ground turkey is not really stable enough to grill. If you combined it with ground beef, it would grill fine. My parents have a George Foreman grill that cooks the straight turkey burgers beautifully. 5-6 Tbl vegetable oil.

Leat's Favorite Recipes: May 2013

http://leatsfavoriterecipes.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 20, 2013. Several weeks ago, my husband bout a sailboat. It has been his dream since forever. It is a Freedom 28 Cat Ketch. It sleeps the family nicely without us tripping over each other too much. But it is also not a big monstrosity. It is our goldilocks boat. Anyway, I thought I'd share what we've been eating on the weekends, mainly to get ideas down the road when I just can't think. I always hard boil a dozen eggs to take. Extra protein for a snack or with breakfast. That's all for now.

A Farmers Wife

Loving life and my farmer. Monday, May 7, 2012. Umm mom you left me in this thing. The solution to our problem was the plastic yard cart. Since the bumbo floats a little bit Cora could make it rock when she pushed off the sides of the cart. Great entertainment. She seems to enjoy the water as long as it's not splashed on her face. She holds her breath and then starts gasping for air if she thinks its getting to close. Links to this post. Monday, April 30, 2012. Links to this post. Sunday, April 15, 2012.

Farmwifery

Journal of a modern farm wife. Saturday, June 2, 2012. What does a farm wife do? Popping in to lend a hand to the crew when I get a chance, hosting a once a week playgroup in our children's garden. Sitting inside while it is sunny and dry out trying to wrap up computer work when I really should save it for when the kids are asleep. So here I go to get out into that sunshine! Have any burning questions about farm life? I'd be so curious, feel free to leave a comment. Thursday, March 1, 2012. We dusted off...

A Farmwife's Diary

Life on a farm in northern Kentucky, where we have horses, goats, poultry, and bees. What I do when I'm not farming. Saturday, March 17, 2018. Using Winter Sowing to Start Seeds. Yellow onions in their winter sowing jug. This is the first year I am using a seed starting technique called Winter Sowing. It's pretty simple, and allows you to start seeds without using grow lights, heat mats, or a greenhouse or cold frame. 4 Add about four inches of the pre-moistened soil so it's filled almost to the cut.

Farmwife Transperancy | Help bridge a gap between farmer and consumer

Recipes for the season. Help bridge a gap between farmer and consumer. August 13, 2015. What are we up to? I thought I’d show you in pictures how busy we are at the moment. A little lake time earlier this month. Dad and son driving the boat. Looking at some grasshoppers attacking our crops this month. This was on our corn. Turning up the soil on our conventional ground and getting rid of weeds. Some baking happened as well. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls anyone? Great advocate for Ag. June 25, 2015. Lexy Goy...

Farmwife Transparency | Help bridge a gap between farmer and consumer

Help bridge a gap between farmer and consumer. January 6, 2017. My door is open…. As I sit here thumbing through piles of paperwork, and numbers upon numbers entering into my bookkeeping on my computer, getting ready for another tax season. I realize that others are possibly doing the same. Are they trying to figure out how much Uncle Sam is going to take this year, or give (ha-ha)? Here is my letter to those of you that are seeing all these scary things. Not only will I listen, but I will try to underst...
