I just adore dresses, so I have decided to write a post about different dresses throughout history, to start with I am going to tackle the 19th Century…. High waisted empire line dresses. Puffed sleeves (long or short). White was very popular. Corsets that gave support but not cleavage. Cottons, Linens or Silks. Embroidery tassels and trimmings. Skirt hems widen slightly.
