Dr. Robin's Ramblings: July 2013
http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Friday, July 12, 2013. Mosquitos were a problem on our Mission trip in the Dominican Republic. It is an island and we were never far from the ocean, less than a mile most of the time. We all brought something to protect us from mosquitos. I found interesting the lengths to which some went to avoid mosquitos. Some brought big cans of spray for their rooms. Most brought bottles of repellent containing the chemical Deet. I took the vitamins and for...

Dr. Robin's Ramblings: October 2014
http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Saturday, October 25, 2014. I appreciate reminders. It is easy to forget to do things that we don’t do often or put things off until it is too late. I don’t like getting sick but I also don’t go out of my way to get a shot unless it is absolutely necessary. My doctor reminds me because he cares about my health. Links to this post. Dr. Robin's Ramblings: September 2014

First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. Working on Scaffolding (in Unity). View my complete profile. Friday, September 19, 2014. When we were on our recent mission trip to Vancouver, British Colombia, we had the chance to see several beautiful bridges. One stands out above the rest called the Lion’s Gate Bridge. Not only was it beautiful but also we got to see it seven different times, crossing one way or the other. Only three of those crossings were on purpose. Links to this post. Paul describes unity by comp...

http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2015/04/god-bless-you.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Monday, April 06, 2015. Walking on a sidewalk in the winter a stranger passed me with all the obvious signs of a cold. When he sneezed I said, “God bless you.” Then I added, “Have you prayed for that? 8221; He replied, “I don’t need to pray for it, I already have it.”. 8220;God bless you! God bless you. Have you blessed anyone today? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Dr. Robin's Ramblings: April 2014
http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Friday, April 18, 2014. A few years back we prayed to increase our mission effectiveness. The opportunity came for us to help the Hmong Church by giving them space to meet in our facility. They met with us for a year until they had nearly tripled in size, and were able to purchase their own building in Decatur. Our prayers were answered and the Lord opened a door for the gospel to the Hmong people. Soon after this a couple joined our church.

Dr. Robin's Ramblings: March 2015

First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Monday, March 02, 2015. Every year at Christmas time we get the family together for a day of candy making. The kitchen becomes a symphony of laughter, dishes, and wonderful smells as we all work together. We make brittles, truffles, fudges, and hand dip a variety of cookies, pretzels, and crackers. The language of this verse tells us that we should continuously ask, seek, and knock and He will continue to respond to us. You can keep coming ba...

Dr. Robin's Ramblings: January 2015
http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Thursday, January 29, 2015. I pastored a church that had a parsonage directly behind the church offices. It was convenient for me because a sidewalk connected our back door with the back door of my office. It was convenient for the church because we shared a back yard and that meant I would keep it mowed, along with the yard in front of the office. I knew they were too small to survive on their own. Dr. Robin's Ramblings: December 2014
http://dr-robin.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
First Baptist Church, Gentry, AR. View my complete profile. Sunday, December 28, 2014. I recently went on a vacation to go hunting with my brothers in Missouri. They have a piece of property south of Rolla, Missouri. They have set up tree stands and made roads only 4-wheelers can travel. There is also a Winnebago type camper for us to eat and sleep in complete with electricity, but little else. I brought all my gear in and spent the better part of a week living in the camper. I did not intend for everyth...
