Sunday, December 25, 2011. Yes, I have been neglectful to this blog. No news is good news, right? In this case, I'm happy to say that is exactly right. After two months on soy, we did a scope right after Thanksgiving. Harnsberger said something was bothering him because the esophagus looked inflamed and like it was forming ridges and plaques. BOO.we were not happy with that. Because now what do we do? Is it the soy, the wheat, both? Someone forgot to take off the snaps while he was out.surprise! And on a...

fEEd me frEEly: What's new...

http://feedmefreely.blogspot.com/2011/01/whats-new.html

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Sometimes new is good. Especially when it's a new friend on the internet. I mean really, how did our parents do it? So along with my new friend here. Came a new recipe for black bean soup here. Now Sam is not a soup kind of kid. He doesn't really like to eat it; none of my kids do, which is frustrating for me because soup's an easy thing to make and I. Love it. But my kids ate ALL. And then you can add anything else to it, make a little soup bar. Black Bean and Salsa Soup. I LOV...

fEEd me frEEly: July 2011

http://feedmefreely.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Yes we are still here. I haven't posted in a while, because we really haven't done anything new besides asthma attacks and worsening eczema. After Sam's horrible reaction to dairy in January, we have just been doing the allergen-free diet for the past 6 months to let him heal. Well, he had another scope May 24, and his esophagus looks better than ever! I'm not sure what to do next. Call it good and say wheat is a pass without doing a scope again? http://feedmefreely.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Thursday, May 6, 2010. Sam gets mac and cheese again.sort of. I saw a recipe on the Gluten-Free Goddess for a cheesy uncheese sauce. And I wanted to try it for Sam. He loves mac and cheese. In fact, I felt so bad a couple days ago because I made some for Ethan and Phenix and tried to hide it from Sam, but he saw it and was so sad. I should say mad. The Best Cheesy Uncheese Sauce. 4 tablespoons light olive oil. 5 tablespoons sweet rice flour. A good dash or two of minced onion.

fEEd me frEEly: August 2010

http://feedmefreely.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 16, 2010. It sounds too easy, but I'm willing to try it. It can't hurt at least. What if it worked? So I'm going to get my blood test done, and if my cholesterol is below 200, I'm trying the Lomatium for sure. That's the plan.today. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. To get Sam to drink it, not eliminating his other foods yet. See how it goes, and then come back next week. He really overestimates my "charm" on an almost 2 year old. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. So we went over a few options, decidin...

Journey With Nathan: 37%...

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2013/03/37.html

Monday, March 18, 2013. I talked to Dr. Williams tonight and Nathan's gastric emptying test showed that Nathan's stomach is emptying 37% in 90 minutes. A normal individual's stomach should empty at the rate of 50% in 90 minutes. So yes, he has gastroparesis. :o(. Unfortunately, there aren't many options other than taking medicines to treat gastroparesis. So Nathan will begin taking Erythromycin (a low dose antibiotic, grr! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Journey With Nathan: August 2011

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Nathan had his third scope with biopsies done today and also go this PEG tube switched out to the AMT Mini One Balloon Button. He did great! Thanks to the many prayers being sent our way today! Dr Williams said that his esophagus looked good, so we are hopeful that the biopsies will second that. This will be excellent news which may mean that avoiding the top 8 allergens will allow Nathan to be symptom free! We are so excited about the AMT button! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Journey With Nathan: February 2012

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Just wanted to share the recipes I used to make Nathan's safe birthday cake and cookies this year! They're free of all the top 8 allergens and were pretty good! I might try switching up some of the "flours" in the future to see if I can make it even better! The sugar cookie recipe was a hit and everyone loved them! So thankful to have alternative options for baking for our sweet boy who deserves a yummy treat like these from time to time! Test cookie was a success! 4) Bake at ...

Journey With Nathan: June 2011

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 30, 2011. We found it at Target Pharmacy. it's OTC. But you have to ask the pharmacy for it! This morning his tummy look beautiful! The GT is not completely gone, but I can tell that it is going away and hopefully will stay that way! We will keep using the Calmoseptine and pray that it will keep it from re-occurring. Today is kind of a big day for Nathan in way of his food trials. he is trialing CHICKEN! I am so thankful to finally be able to offer him a complete meal! Biopsy Results Are In.

Journey With Nathan: October 2011

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 28, 2011. Alright, so in the world of EoE as we have always known, things can change and they can change quickly. We were blessed to have such a smooth couple of months in a row with Nathan. They all evaluated Nathan together and individually so that they could put their minds together on the best approach to help Nathan. Nathan working on his chewing exercises. We are headed to Mark's parent's church annual Trunk or Treat tonight, Nathan will be going as Mickey Mouse! Eosinophilic gastor...

Journey With Nathan: September 2013

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 19, 2013. Headed Down A New Road. It's been nearly 4 weeks since Nathan's scope, which by the way was not good. His EOS counts were high again indicating that the foods we were trialling (potato, chicken, rice) were hurting him. Mark and I have given tons of thought to our options and weighed all the pros and cons of each over these past 4 weeks. We aren't 100% comfortable with any of the options. Our two options are:. The lesser of two evils that's what we're going with. Nathan's die...

Journey With Nathan: August 2013

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 18, 2013. Past 6 Months Update. Priceless and oh so heartbreaking all at once. The vomiting stopped after that 3rd week, but around the beginning of June Nathan began refusing to eat chicken. At first I thought he was just being a typical picky 3 year old, but after about a week of him refusing and choosing his EleCare over chicken and complaining of it hurting his tummy we decided to stop pushing it. In all your ways submit to him,. And he will make your paths. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Feed Me Fresh Food and Garden Blog -

Posted by Dr. Susan Rubin. Middot; Wednesday ,. Middot; No Comments. The after school aged summer campers have been testing out new recipes all summer long. We’ve been selling some of them at our Wednesday afternoon farmer’s market on the front porch of the center. Today’s recipe is a winner for sure. We turned our zucchini into noodles using a spiralizer borrowed from a parent. It was loads of fun, and most importantly delicious. Here’s the recipe. 3 to 4 zucchinis. 1 large carrot, grated (about 1 cup).

Feed me, Fulmer!

Feed me, Fulmer! Calories don't count if you blog about them. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. This past Thanksgiving, I did a lot of reminiscing about things I was thankful for in my life: my wonderful family, awesome friends, amazing boyfriend, not being obese after all the food I eat on a daily basis, and many other really cool things in my life. Seriously, I’m a lucky girl. This year, I added something else I’m really thankful for: S’mores Nachos. Definitely check out their menu here. I’d highly re...
