Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Update on 2011 Ferry Legislation. Here is a quick copy-and-paste of a legislative summary I just sent out. The big items that are of concern to Bainbridge riders right now are:. Proposed fare increases of 10% or more. Major cuts in service on most routes, including Edmonds and Bremerton, which could increase traffic on Bainbridge. There is currently no standby boat if a Bainbridge boat goes down. The fleet needs to retire 9 boats in the next 15 years to maintain existing capacity.
