Through the Fog: August 2014

Monday, August 11, 2014. If you're a cat lover and a plant lover, you probably have figured out the two don't always mix. The oldest two of my cats don't mess with plants but the other seven can't leave them alone. There are some strategies you can try though. This is the kind I use. It is called SmartCat Kitty's Garden. It sprouts thick and quickly and has four different kinds of grass seeds. Some of the cats definitely like one kind better than the others so the variety is great. The sides are glass fr...

Between The Lines Book Reviews. Saturday, 24 September 2011. 30 Week Book Challenge #2 - Your Least Favourite Book. I know this is slightly later than promised, but this week it's the turn of my least favourite book. I only very rarely put down a book halfway through reading it if I'm not enjoying it - I can't allow myself to do that as I feel I will never know what exciting thing might have been just over the next page.kind of an OCD thing, don't ask! My dislike of this book may have something to do wit...

A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend. Author Unknown. 111 books in 2011. Around the world in books. Thursday, September 22, 2011. MIA and I haven't had my nose in a book either! Visitors, moving, work, and the last days of summer, I'm going to have to be honest and put it down to procrastination, poor time management, and a lack of self discipline. Sad but true! What's worse, is that I haven't even had my nose in a book! So as of today - no make that now!

Thursday, April 24, 2014. Like my jellyfish friend, I am occasionally annoyed and I bet you are too. I often feel better if I share, so here are some of my most recent pet peeves. I watch entirely too much TV. That means too many commercials too. Some of them just seem callous and hurtful. One is a woman selling a program for difficult and rebellious children. She brags that she knows the methods work because she used them on her own son. {Ouch! Any pet peeves you'd like to share? MidWest, United States.

All things great that I come across.mostly books. Saturday, November 12, 2011. The Betrayal of the Blood Lily. The Betrayal of the Blood Lily is another fun installment in The Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig. Initially I found the books in this series a little silly and a bit predictable, but nevertheless, enjoyed reading them. However, over the course of the series, the books just keep getting better and I really look forward to each new installment. I would love to hear from you. Vanity Fair by ...
