Fiber Dev: Knitting Changed my Life
http://fiberdev.blogspot.com/2013/11/knitting-changed-my-life.html
Monday, December 16, 2013. Knitting Changed my Life. I went to my first Stitches in 1997 (and have gone every year since), joined a knitting guild (to which I still belong - hello SBKnitters! Fiber Dev: Manic Monday: Waylaid
http://fiberdev.blogspot.com/2013/10/manic-monday-waylaid.html
Monday, October 07, 2013. The intricate 14 row lace and twisted stitch pattern? The dark yarn (with a name like Clandestine, they must be done in dark yarn, right)? The 18-20 things I had on other needles. Whatever, but I love how they look. The texture, the fit, the elegant lace. Second sock is slightly looser in gauge, which is always an issue with me. These have been claimed by dd #1. Ravelry, that's what happened. They finally added a "fiber" category for stash and a flow to handspun yarn, yay! Knitt...
Fiber Dev: September 2013

Wednesday, September 04, 2013. Hitting up the LYS. So it turns out the Yarndogs closed for personal reasons, not business. They were actually doing fine. Still sad to see them go. And with only 5 local yarn stores left I thought I'd visit one and a couple a bit beyond. I went to my beloved GPY shortly after the Yarndogs closing - my knit group meets there and while I was showing other knitters examples of the colorful magic that is Madelinetosh, I fell into a bin of a colorway I couldn't resist! Wool n&#...
Fiber Dev: January 2015
http://fiberdev.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 09, 2015. For the last 16 years I've spent the first weekend after New Year's at a knitting retreat. Last weekend was the 17th year and we returned to the San Juan Bautista Retreat Center for the second time. I worked on my mosaic vest almost religiously (ha, ha, no pun intended - San Juan Bautista is one of the California Missions, and the Retreat Center is run by Franciscan Monks). Other goals, the usual, knit more (wip reduction), spin more, weave more, lace more. What about you? Seein...
Fiber Dev: October 2013
http://fiberdev.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 13, 2013. It's Like Playing Horseshoes. It's the end of another weekend I'm here just at the thumb. So close, but I'm calling it because well, Friday night looked like this. Do you see it? I didn't notice until I had finished the top hem (and yes cut the thread) and tried them on. The left one looked a little, um, short? I couldn't face it Friday night so the next morning I did this. Immediately followed by this. Monday, October 07, 2013. The 18-20 things I had on other needles. Ugh I sta...

Knitting Diva: February 2011
http://knitdragon.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Monday, February 21, 2011. Present for a Friend. One of my oldest and dearest friend's birthday is tomorrow. This weekend I was walking through the Stitches West market looking for something she would like. She doesn't do any fiber arts, so I was looking at all the other type booths. I had passed the Buttons! Nancy Weber helped be pick out these buttons. And I made this. Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was nasty, rude an...
Knitting Diva: I tried something new!
http://knitdragon.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-tried-something-new.html
The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Thursday, July 14, 2011. I tried something new! One of the dance weekends David and I go to is Balance the Bay in San Francisco. This year's theme is polka-dots. It was easy for me to find something to wear, but I looked and looked for something for David and couldn't even find a vest at Goodwill that I could decorate. So I took today off, was all alone in the house and did nothing but work on the vest. OK this was the ...
Knitting Diva: Measuring Your Knitting
http://knitdragon.blogspot.com/2012/01/measuring-your-knitting.html
The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Saturday, January 07, 2012. Over the years I've found, one of the hardest things to do well is measure your knitted fabric. It wants to curl, it can be stretched, you have to hold the knitting down and somehow manipulate a measuring tape or ruler all while the knitting is still on the needles. Look Mom, no hands! The ruler at the top of the mat is the length I need. The ruler on the knitting is just there to keep th...

Knitting Diva: September 2010
http://knitdragon.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Tuesday, September 07, 2010. My first day of work at ProStores was August 23rd and it was also the first day of the remodel. But as always before you can remodel, you must start with this (this picture is from Google maps that is why there is an orange A on the lawn LOL). And then do this. This WAS the living room. This was the dining room and 2-car garage. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Tuesday, December 27, 2011. So what do you do with all your ribbon and bows for wrapping gifts? Years ago I bought a wreath storage case. It has all my ribbon and bows and package decorations for every season. Here it is:. Well this year I learned that it is not only a bow bag, it's a prewrapped Christmas package. Fri Dec 30, 06:35:00 PM 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
Knitting Diva: They're So Cute When They're Little
http://knitdragon.blogspot.com/2011/12/there-so-cute-when-theyre-little.html
The Perfect Day - watching a movie or listening to a book, sipping tea, and KNITTING! Wednesday, December 28, 2011. They're So Cute When They're Little. For Christmas I bought myself a serger. Two days before Christmas, Handcock Fabric had it marked down from $329.99 to $179.99 with a 60 day return policy and a coupon for $20 off my next purchase of $25. Note the purple knobs. LOL. I watched some Youtube videos so I had a general idea how to thread a serger and how to use it. View my complete profile.

Sunday, January 18, 2015. Fiberdesk's homepage has a new layout and new tutorials as a diashow. Please take a look at www.fiberdesk.com. Friday, November 14, 2014. Took me several hours to get fiberdesk compiled with the latest Visual Studio Community 2013. All libaries and the Win SDK needed to be synchronized. Seems that the libaries have not yet been prepared for this release so it was a lot of manual tweeking . Saturday, May 10, 2014. New release - fiberdesk 5. The GUI is modern Win 8 style. Addition...
