Fictive Realities

Wednesday, 1 February 2012. One of my favourite London locations was Soho. A place brimming with character in all of it's hidden nooks and crannies. Hundreds of candlelit coffee shops and fabric stores full of delicate, intricate silks. Something about Soho feels so 'London', so authentic, almost makes you feel a little cool (oh dear). London: Fashion and Textiles Museum. Tuesday, 31 January 2012. The above image is the presentation of 'Text' for my review. Friday, 20 January 2012. I was honestly dreadin...

Fictive Realities: May 2011

http://fictiverealities.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, 1 May 2011. I've got really obsessed with this drawing things on top of each other style; the aesthetics of the designs (not just the garment/item). It's been strange having no design/art project to work on, no push to draw, I miss it. Hopefully I'll be pushing 24/7 (within reason) for the next 4 years when I start my degree. Wow typing that is surreal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fashion Design Student @ The Glasgow School of Art. View my complete profile. Keeping My Eye On. A Play For Lost Time.

Fictive Realities: August 2011

http://fictiverealities.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Monday, 29 August 2011. I'm not sure why I never posted this painting (oil on canvas cloth). I think it stood out from the project as a whole; it focuses much more on the abstract and colour rather than my usual obsession with accuracy and detail (hence why I've named it distortion). 1 I am incredibly sorry for being so lazy and not keeping this up - I have been somewhat busy/distracted. I hope you've been well, stay tuned. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fashion Design Student @ The Glasgow School of Art.

Tuesday, 31 January 2012. The above image is the presentation of 'Text' for my review. Friday, 20 January 2012. There is something so attractive about these stunningly vivid photographs; they capture and emulate Mary Katrantzou's enchanting work so fittingly, communicating her quirky style effortlessly. I love the vivid, rich colours and the layering of pattern, it creates such a chaotic yet strangely concise set of images. I couldn't help myself - I had to share these gems with you. I normally choose to...

Saturday, 26 March 2011. Visual research towards my A.2 Textiles project on womens workwear (persona manifestation in design). I recently had some pretty exciting feedback on this style of work which has made me want to show it to you all. Tuesday, 22 March 2011. I have made it through to the final 32 in the current Saatchi Online Paris Showdown! This is such an exciting prospect for me as it gives the chance to get my work out there! Fictive Reality, Real Fiction | My Life. My Reality. My Fiction.

Fictive Reality, Real Fiction. My Life. My Reality. My Fiction. A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. 8211; Lao-tse (6th century B.C.). So that’s even true for journeys, that don’t really have a clear ending or a goal. Like living in this world for example. The journey is the destination, as Confucius say. Even if we don’t get the meaning the way he wanted us to the sentence is correct anyway. Or at least I hope so, because I want this blog to be one of the first steps of. Like all of us.
