Sunday, May 8, 2016. We celebrated Mom's day with a day at the races on Saturday :) Finley and Dagny each got to run a kids race and they proudly earned their first racing medals! Thursday, May 15, 2014. Dagny is really getting into building, sorting, and relocating. And she's pretty proud of herself! But what cracks me up even more is that she LOVES trucks just like Finley. She knows the names of a dozen different construction and emergency vehicles, though she can't identify most colors! One of Finley's truck books explained that small bulldozers are called calfdozers and this nickname seems to fit Dagny in all her miniature truck glory. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, June 22, 2014. After a playground outing with some friends the morning, we filled up a bucket of soapy water and got to work cleaning all our outside plastic toys. Finley also washed the car and had fun with the sprayer on the hose, but I couldn't get too close with the camera! But soon, Dagny decided she was in need of being soaped up more than the toys! Guess I will only have to bathe Finley tonight! Love this soapy almost-two-year-old! Picking Our Own Strawberries. Then, it was back to picking!

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Backyard Birthday 3.0. We were blessed with no rain on Saturday morning despite a dismal forecast for the weekend and Dagny got to have her backyard birthday party with all her little friends! We had a soapy water and sponge car wash. The big blow up pool was hit with the bigger kiddos but Dagny took a couple trips in and out. I made some homemade bubble solution (dish soap, water and glycerine) and had a bunch of fun bubble wands. Before we knew it, it was pink cupcake time!

Sunday, July 27, 2014. Finally, it was blueberry picking day! Finley got excited whenever he found "dark blue, big ones" and wanted to show me before he either ate them or dropped them into his pail. Dagny had lots to say as she tried to figure out which berries were ripe, and this face really reflects the stubbornness she can display when she thinks she's right! Finley loved it when he could sit or squat down in a "good patch" and just pick and pick and pick. He's eating grass, Mommy! Oh- and you see th...

Monday, August 3, 2015. Finley's Legacy at ELC. This past weekend, Dan and I crossed off something off our summer to do list. Dan drilled holes in twenty small concrete "stones" that have the hand/footprints, names, and decorative jewels created by the graduates of our preschool. Our school is just two years old so the parents wanted to begin a tradition that would grow with each passing year. Dan carefully secured each stone along the fence in the playground.
