LeMarchant Street Mixed Use Facility. The $35m, LEED gold, mixed use building is in the Studley Campus of Dalhousie University. The landscape design included paver entrance ways and planting beds that tied in with the geometric building design, a dozen new street trees, micrograding challenges so the exterior entrance areas met municipal sidewalks at fully accessible standards, and planting layout for the green roofs.

Crombie Reit Head Office Courtyard. Changing an existing shopping mall service yard into a multifunction courtyard at Crombie REIT’s new head office where employees can take breaks in a private setting and events can be held. The design featured high quality pavers and outdoor furniture, bespoke fencing, a tree planter with seating wall and flowering shrubs, perennials and grasses. Design challenges including grading the near flat site to allow appropriate drainage.

Oliver’s expertise enabled the park to be well designed, properly constructed, and within budget.” Tom Jangaard, Halifax Regional Municipality. To turn this waterlogged green field into a community park with play equipment, trails connecting to HRM’s larger trail system, planting and extensive regrading and swales for stormwater management. Oliver was Project Landscape Architect for this project whilst at Vollick McKee Petersmann.

Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. 8220;Oliver is a very diligent, conscientious, professional team player and a pleasure to work with.” Keith Tufts, Principal, Lydon Lynch Architects. This $35 million LEED Gold multipurpose facility in Bridgewater featured $250,000 of new planting, bioswales, walking trails and multiple car parks. The building contains the new South Shore main library, a 1200 seat geothermal arena and a solar powered three pool aquatic facility. LeMarchant Street Mixed Use Facility.
