You Will Never Find a More Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy. Books read in 2012. Dec 31st, 2012 at 11:59 PM. Ive read a few. Inspiration comes from the darndest places. Jan 10th, 2012 at 12:19 PM. It worked for Fenimore Cooper. My mother has commented that she feels spoiled by that parish. She's so uplifted by their good example, that the inevitable crash hurts all the more when she returns to the liturgical wasteland that is California. I know just how she feels. Books read in 2011.
