Another sub 49! | First Season Racing

https://firstseasonracing.com/2015/06/15/another-sub-49

Blog on amateur racing by Rob Sharland. I’ve done a few events since my last update, I’m wary to talk about them all every time as it would make for pretty dull reading, and would mean I was writing a hell of a lot given the midweek racing over the summer! I got there nice and early, weather was really nice, I set off as last man which seems to be the way recently in most events I’ve entered, its quite nice to come back to clubhouse without having to wait for times to come in! Next up was another TT, my ...

From Redhill to Gipsy Hill | First Season Racing

https://firstseasonracing.com/2015/06/25/from-redhill-to-gipsy-hill

Blog on amateur racing by Rob Sharland. From Redhill to Gipsy Hill. Been an eventful couple of weekends race wise, I was really happy with how I was coming along, and had a couple of events I was keen to test myself on. And secondly because some pratt scattered drawing pins all over the finish area which ended a lot riders day and could have been really dangerous. And were around 8 strong, but not everyone was coming through, some people were totally frazzled and I was conscious that though I felt good, ...

Next up is the famous Bentley Xmas 10, hopefully I can get that elusive 19 in late December after missing it by 13 seconds last year. 2nd place – 1st loser. This weekend was pretty much the end of the season for me, kind of good as I have a lot of weddings. Https:/ www.strava.com/activities/395640134. That pretty much sums up the year, I...

Another target ticked! | First Season Racing

https://firstseasonracing.com/2015/05/29/another-target-ticked

Blog on amateur racing by Rob Sharland. As ever, I have done a couple of events since the last update. Its been quite a good period of training and no illness of late, I’ve managed to get some solid weeks in and am feeling pretty good. However, I crossed the line in 19.13 having dragged the average watts up to around 385 which is as good as I’ve managed in a ten, which bodes well given I’ve not ridden the TT bike in two months! August | 2015 | First Season Racing

https://firstseasonracing.com/2015/08

Blog on amateur racing by Rob Sharland. Archive August, 2015. Been a while since I updated, I think the last one was when I had won at Crystal Palace, good times! Since then I’ve done a few bits here and there, couple of crits where I was fairly average, a couple of TT’s where I did alright and won both, though I was later relegated to 2nd in one after timekeeping mix up (damn you Boyman! Predictably despite feeling ok health wise since the 25 earlier in the week I picked up a bit of a sore throat, but t...

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Sunday, 16 February 2014. A couple of weeks ago, the big move happened. I finally moved all my stuff down to Gloucester and I now live here permanantly. I started a new job last week and so far I think it's going very well. It's a ton of responsiblity but everyone is really nice so I know I will have as much support as I need once I take over the role completely. Anyway - the important stuff! One day. one day. Amateur Cyclist & Occasional Triathlete: I am leaving Lincoln..

http://adriansnowcycling.blogspot.com/2014/01/i-am-leaving-lincoln.html

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Friday, 24 January 2014. I am leaving Lincoln. After over 5 years I am leaving Lincoln to start a new job in the South West. I will be living in Gloucester with my wife and working on the west side of Oxford. I haven't run 5k since Christmas Day and I struggled then. I'd love to say I'm in a good condition to PB (sub 23:19) and I will try but honestly anything under 25min would be great. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An Experime...

http://adriansnowcycling.blogspot.com/2013/10/prendas-waterproof-cap-review.html

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Wednesday, 2 October 2013. Prendas Waterproof Cap Review. Yesterday (Oct 1st, circa 2pm) I read an article on Inrng. About his sponsor for the last month or so - Prendas. The comments were very, very good so off I popped to check out the website. As I don't have too much spare cash (although I was very. I came home today (2nd Oct) to find the cap from Prendas on my mat. Talk about quick delivery, wow! The cap fitted well and looked go...

http://adriansnowcycling.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Tuesday, 19 August 2014. From Sora to Tiagra. After the recent changes made to the Bianchi and the possible new user I thought that I would try and search around for some Tiagra shifters to replace the Sora ones with the thumb bits. I was fortunate enough to strike a deal with a member on the BikeRadar forums who posted me his 9 speed double Tiagra shifters for £32. Bargain. 163;650 for some new bar tape ( Wiggle. http://adriansnowcycling.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Sunday, 27 October 2013. Just a quick note really. Went out on the bike this morning and instantly felt a bit off. My left foot just wasn't clipping in/out properly and my mudguards were rubbing against my new 25mm tyres. I stopped a few times to check my shoe and mudguards but couldn't sort out either and just tried to ignore the noises and uncomfortableness. Wednesday, 23 October 2013. Ready for Winter Part Two. Came back to them Mo...

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Thursday, 13 March 2014. New Job and Lunchtime Runnings. I've now been in my new job role for a month! I'm really enjoying being busy here in Oxford and getting some great exposure to all kinds of people in my new role. I have really enjoyed it so far and running with other people - especially people who are much quicker and more committed - is great! Think I'm going to try with my phone next time and use RunKeeper and see if I can ge...

http://adriansnowcycling.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Amateur Cyclist and Occasional Triathlete. Event Reports and Schedule. Tuesday, 26 November 2013. Wiggle 40L Luggit Backpack Review. I had a look around and weighed up my options. I really like the look of the Henty Wingman. Crazy price. Couldn't justify that at all. Whilst I'm dreaming I also looked up the Rapha Backpack. Which is a costly £125! First of all I ordered the 30L 'slice' dhb rucksack. As I thought it looked nice, had a rain cape and wasn't sure how much space I actually needed. When it came...
