Wednesday, 25 July 2012. Classic Le Mans 2012. Classic Le Mans 2012 Grid 2. Arrival at Le Mans Houx. Off loading the Db2 LM in Houx plenty of space 10 hours later there was no room to move. Paddock for Grid 2. Compared to most Classic Le Mans this one was much cooler and with rain during qualifying and throughout the racing on both Saturday and Sunday, although the last two races of round 3 were dry. Sunday, 12 October 2014. Paul Ricard Dix Mille Tours Sixties Endurance. Sixties Endurance (Dix Mille Tours) 2014. Drivers:- Glynn Allen and Tim Stamper. Weather :- Warm, Dry and Sunny. Paul Ricard Circuit with chicane on main straight. Test Day Thursday best lap 3.17 with no issues for the car, but a demanding circuit in this 1951 Aston, due to the many turns. Wednesday, 2 October 2013. Spa 6 Hrs British Sports GT and Saloon Challenge 2013. British Sports GT and Saloon Challenge Sept 2013. This race featured " The Ford Falcon El" a rather overweight and under powered car from the USA. Weight:- very light at about 1050Kg. (it's lighter tham my DB2 Lightweight). Power:- 620 BHP. (wheel spinning in every gear a promise). Also required:- Bravery Pills, Dry weather, plenty of underwear and a great team of people. In the out side paddock. Weather very wet raining.

Race car period selected was 1949 to 1965 for either original Le Mans cars or cars built to the exact same specifications. Race Car :- Aston Martin DB 2 Light weight Le Mans (175 UXM). Drivers:- Julian Bailey-Watts and Glynn Allen. Paddock for the Legends cars. Best Lap time:- 5.47.394. Qual Position :- 41. Best lap was lap 9. Driving down to the track for qualifying. Saturday, 11 October 2014. RAC Woodcote Trophy Race for Pre 56 Sports Cars. RAC Tourist Trophy Race for Pre 63 GT racing Cars. RAC Tourist Trophy Pre 63 Race:-. 1hr Grid 42 cars. Lap Time :- 2.53.-26. Lap Time:- 2.54.713. Last half of the race the car was stuck in 3rd gear so we did very well to finish on the podium for 3rd in class. Finally got past Nick in his 3L Aston in the Woodcote Trophy Race. Just in front of Martins Aston DB3. Julian waiting to go out. RAC Tourist Trophy 3rd in Class.

I entered my DB 2 lightweight Le Mans Aston into both races which was the first time out since the engine rebuild but still using the same components.
