Triple-D 2008 - Franks Crazy Online Journal Thing. The Realm of FishMan (I know, its lame). Jan 23rd, 2008 04:13 pm. On Saturday I raced in the Triple-D race. The short and sweet version is that I rode 27.6 miles over the course of 4.75 hours in temperatures that never got above -1 F. My camelbak hose froze, meaning I had no water and thus no food for almost 2 hours. This kind of set me up in a bad position, so I bailed out of the race 10 miles short of the already shortened course I was taking.

Prepairing for Triple-D 2010 - Franks Crazy Online Journal Thing. The Realm of FishMan (I know, its lame). Prepairing for Triple-D 2010. Jan 7th, 2010 10:21 am. After a 48 hour delay, 7 hours of bike maintenance and $80 in replacement parts, I finally got my Triple-D. Then I got all my gear out in the truck and ready to go to the trailhead. But I couldn't start the truck because my keys were in the house. which was locked. Great.
