Why do you run? Why do you run? Runner’s World July 2015. When I first started to run, it was a sure way to deal with overwhelming stress in my life. I loaded my playlist with all sorts of despairing alternative music and heavy metal rock to drowned out my thoughts. I never changed that playlist, until a few months back.
