Wednesday, May 23, 2012. 白天我去找梅丽莎八卦。丽萨辞职后梅丽莎脾气格外阴沉，说是受不了老康直将她当做下属使唤。又将矛头指向I中心雇用的实习生。“他到底是干什么的？！”. 这位实习生老兄来自I国，刚当完兵。许多I国的犹太男孩子都长得眉清目秀，尤其一双坦诚的亮眼睛叫人平生许多好感。实习生同学像是上帝没造好的泥人，淡色眼珠，蓬乱头发，头很大，走路重心朝前，总教人担心他马上就要踉跄两步。淡色胡须和头发眼珠看着又不是一个色调。每天还打领带，紧到让人替他透不过气来，越发显出比例不平衡的五短身材。每每淡色眼睛瞪圆，让我想起某种浣熊。我也不知道他来这儿几个月都干了些什么。好在并不是由我们所支钱。我向梅丽莎表示这种路人甲实在不必惹她着急上火，不料她越发激动。挥舞双手高声抗议：. 8220;可是他还在呼吸研究所的空气！”. 一时语塞。想提醒梅丽莎天下人都呼吸同一把空气。好不容易才压下这个较真的傻念头。 Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. 新加坡（6）大雨. 中午出门的时候还是大太阳，走过一个个购物中心，可就眼看着空气越发潮湿，不知道什么时候大片的乌云遮住了天。离酒店还有两百米的时候，空气简直可以直接滴出水来，眼看大暴雨要来了。及时逃回酒店的时候已经开始掉雨点，等到站在酒店房间的落地玻璃窗前，外头已经电闪雷鸣，暴雨倾盆，雨气透过玻璃窗的缝隙渗进来，穿得暖暖的抱着笔记本电脑对着外头黑漆漆的天写论文，感觉妙不可言。 Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, January 24, 2012. 周二周三是联储会议，上周五某电视台找单位要人做采访，主题是美国经济。老金身经百战，被安排做周一的采访。我是菜鸟，被排在周二。人生第一次live broadcast，我很紧张，准备了很久。老金和我一样紧张，去studio之前我陪他对了很久内容。异地直播，直播间是座冷冷清清的楼，地方在Culver City，黑漆漆的叫人以为关了门。八点钟的采访，老金六点半前后才收到几个问题。他戴着耳机，孤零零坐了很久，还好那边的制作人在耳机里提示，说五分钟后轮到他讲。折腾了半天，露脸短短的几分钟。 State of the Union是一个政治大坑，千万跳不得，这点儿觉悟我还是有的。遂选择IMF的报告。赶紧打了几份文件，开车去直播间。六点四十，方才收到制作人给的三个问题，还好都在宏观方面，虽然手上没有太多数据，简单说一下总还可以。 Labels: Such is life. Sunday, March 4, 2012. 偶尔得知Joshua Bell在Walter Disney Concert Hall有个recital，P自己是拉过几年小提琴的人，再三怂恿我去，说是值得。还在犹豫不决，单位秘书一句话让我下定了决心，她说：我对小提琴毫无感觉，不过Joshua Bell is really cute。好吧，冲在这位小哥长得帅的份上，我去瞧了瞧。他穿一身黑，表情严肃。上半场勃拉姆斯我没什么感觉，下半场走印象派风了倒让人印象深刻。结尾一曲流浪者之歌完全是华丽丽的炫技，听得人血脉喷张。所谓小哥其实也四十好几了，皮肤蜂蜜色，说话笑容都羞涩得很。音乐会后签售，我乖乖掏腰包买了他两张唱片。 Labels: Such is life. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. 新加坡（7）狮城归来不吃蟹. 暴雨过后是连绵不绝的小雨。一切公事都告一段落，傍晚我架不住时差睡了一小会儿，然后被电话铃叫醒：同事们拒绝酒店饭菜的荼毒，摩拳擦掌要出去吃点儿好的。说到吃点儿好的，还有什么比螃蟹更靠谱呢？这儿菜做得确实不错，可什么烤鸡，炒面，蒜蓉开边虾，金银蛋空心菜，统统在黑椒蟹的万丈光芒下黯然失色了。辣椒蟹据说该算是印度风味，黑色铸铁锅里斯里兰卡大肉蟹配着辣椒、番茄、鸡蛋熬成的酱汁，一看已经让人食指大动。我们点的黑椒蟹，端上来的时候看似埋在黑色污泥里头。这黑色的浓酱乃是大量新鲜黑胡椒配各种香辛料熬成的，入口辛辣，蟹肉细腻鲜甜，两者相配其间各种复杂滋味难以言表，完完全全欲罢不能。我们要了油炸小馒头，连黑椒酱都蘸了个干净。 Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chabuya 。那时候还浑然分不清拉面、乌冬、荞麦面的区别，并不能理解为什么一碗面要搞得这么贵。 Counter 上可以好整以暇地看做面的过程。年轻的日本厨子个子和脸型都瘦长，帅得很，总带微笑，可是不爱说话，后来还留起了小胡子。 Asahi Ramen 形成鲜明对比。可是在我看来. Chabuya 了，只好凭回忆写。回想起来，. Chabuya 有点儿改良的意思。这家的汤底除了传统猪骨汤之外，还有较为清口的鸡汤。特色则是煎得焦黄的葱蒜，导致汤有细微苦味。面条筋斗。可惜后来配的叉烧肉的质量每况愈下，我去的次数也就少了。 Chabuya 夏天的冷面很是爽口，后来又开发了红烧牛肉面，牛肉太瘦，份量却足。还有一样配菜，叉烧肉和简单的. Twelve days of X'mas (10). 洛杉矶说实在的不算大都市，而是大农村。逢年过节，节目少得让人气结。看到纽约伦敦欢度新年的大场面，心里就酸溜溜地冒泡。这儿可好，一过节路上交通特别顺畅，哪儿哪儿都看不见人。馆子好些不开门，也不能怨他们，开着门的都门庭冷落。唯一有节日气氛的，大概就是超市了。走进Nijiya就吓了一跳。该家小型日本超市整个脱胎换骨，货色和平时完全两样。螃蟹、龙虾、各种生鱼片和认不出的贝类摆得满满当当，伙计还大声拿日文和英文交替吆喝“昨天才从日本送来！”更有色彩斑斓的各式食盒，生鱼片、料理好的全鱼，比手掌还长的天妇罗虾，放上桌完全是餐馆大厨范儿。价格也很惊人：漂亮的猪颈肉，颜色好似toro，竟要二十刀一磅。接下来的烦心事儿自然就是如何有效率地消灭牛尾、莲藕排骨汤和炖羊腿。我看够忙乎到明年了。 Labels: Such is life.
