One week turns to two, then turns to eight and before you know it, the idea of putting up a post after so long seems utterly ridiculous. I blame the non-resolutions of my only GWTMH outburst of 2013. Now and then I like to make my baking efforts topical and with Halloween fast approaching I thought I’d share a couple of recipes for spooky party food. First up, Halloween biscuits. I first made these a couple of years ago for my nephew’s birthday. As it falls on October 30, he was having a Halloween themed party. I used Nigella. 1 tsp baking powder.

More of my topical baking and again it’s on a Halloween theme. This time I made spiced pumpkin muffins with a cream cheese frosting. Like the biscuits. Spooky Halloween biscuits but that’s another story. Spiced pumpkin muffins and cream cheese frosting. 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda. 1 tsp ground ginger. 125g piece pumpkin or butternut squash, coarsely grated.
