Both young people help their mum look after their sister and try to keep her entertained so that mum can get on with the household chores. Recently he has become her carer as she has beome ill and housebound. Tom comes home from school, cleans the house, does the washing and prepares a meal every evening. He also sits with his grandmother and reads to her. Because of his caring role and the worry of his grandmother's illness, Tom's work and behaviour at school has deteriorated. It was love at first sight! I’m not normally taken to the colour pink. Walking through an antique market on a sunny Saturday morning in London, my gaze was transfixed by this piece of very provocative 50’s sliver of silk fabric, which turned out to be a scarf. It was defiantly staring out at me … I couldn’t get it out of my head. I had to have it at any price. My mind was racing with all the possibilities of what could be done with it, creatively … how could I use it …. This was the start of Ette London.
