Wednesday, January 8, 2014. We’d heard so much about the little café, in the slightly random suburb of Birkenhead, that we just had to go check it out. Coffee is Coffee General’s absolute forte. Behind the counter there was an array of different coffee contraptions and a huge selection of different New Zealand coffee brands. So not only could we choose the type of brew, but also the beans to go in it! We loved their almost obsessive passion for coffee and it definitely showed in the drinks we devoured.

Tuesday, March 4, 2014. OH HI: Little Bird Unbakery. We love this fresh Ponsonby café with its stunning décor and all of its raw goodness. As we have said before, indoor brick is always a winner and the whole space is incredibly well-designed. There was quite a wait for a table - this place was absolutely buzzing! But the friendly staff were so apologetic and helpful, we weren’t too bothered by it. Not only is all the food organic and vegan, but it is also uncooked! 1a Summer St, Ponsonby, Auckland.
