Wedded Bliss Road: Year of the House Update
http://road2weddedbliss.blogspot.com/2015/07/year-of-house-update.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Year of the House Update. We're more than half way through 2015. Our 10 year house anniversary is coming up in 3 months, so I thought I'd see what we've finished so far. In January, our list seemed pretty big, but little by little, we're getting there! The gutters were cleaned and the house was power washed. The three dead and dying trees were taken out. We planted three new trees - Vanderwolf Blue Pine. They started about 5 feet tall, and are already about 6 feet tall. Love your f...

This Cookin' Dad. Cameras, Carry-ons, and Cookin' with Kids. Bourbon Maple Bacon aka Bacon Crack. April 16, 2015. It's only fair to share. If I could eat one food for the rest of my life, it would surely be bacon. Bacon for breakfast, bacon for lunch, bacon wrapped something or other for dinner. For a snack, I would surely chow down on this Bourbon Maple Bacon. The syrup get sticky and lovely and yummy over top of that salty, smoky bacon. Throughout April, we’re talking about breakfast. Wedded Bliss Road: June 2015
http://road2weddedbliss.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. While it may not technically be summer, it sure feels like it! It has been hot and so very humid. I love summer weekends. This one started with lunch on Friday with my friend Kelly and her sweetheart of a little girl. David might disagree on Sunday being a nice day, as he worked most of the day with an uncooperative dump trailer. I wouldn't be much help with that, so I spent some time in the back yard enjoying the view from the hammock before the rain started. Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

Cooking in the Kudzu Kitchen: July 2011
http://kudzukitchen.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Cooking in the Kudzu Kitchen. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Or, what happens when you clean out the refrigerator. That's a handful of whole-wheat penne, half a cucumber, some broccoli that was just before getting wimpy and having to be tossed, and a few grape tomatoes from the garden. I sliced the garden-fresh squash and cooked it on the grill pan and tossed the whole thing with some red pepper Italian dressing and some Parmesan. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://kudzukitchen.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Cooking in the Kudzu Kitchen. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Creamy and full of flavor, everyone at the shower enjoyed this dip. Donna, one of the hosts, made it by tweaking a recipe that belonged to her Aunt Imogene. 3 8-oz pkgs of cream cheese. 1 small jar (2.25 ounce) of Armour's dried beef finely chopped. 1 bunch of green olives finely chopped. 1 4 oz can of mushrooms- drained and finely chopped. 1 small (2.4 oz) can of chopped ripe olives (the kind that's already chopped in the can). I made these for ...

Cooking in the Kudzu Kitchen. Monday, June 13, 2011. I made this for book club and it was a hit. It's an old garden club, bridge club staple that I haven't made in years. I'd forgotten how good it is. 2 (6-ounce) jars marinated artichoke hearts. 1 (69-ounce) box chicken-flavored rice. 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise. 1/2 teaspoon curry powder. 1 pound boiled, peeled shrimp. 3 green onions, chopped. 4 celery stalks, diced (optional - I leave it out as I don't care for celery). Serves 6 to 8. Make Your Own Dinner.

Wedded Bliss Road: November 2014
http://road2weddedbliss.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 17, 2014. Oh The Weather Outside Is Frightful! It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It's been very cold, and yesterday we even got an inch or so of snow! I don't normally decorate quite this early, but our travel plans plus a late Thanksgiving mean that it was either now or the middle of December! These are a couple of my favorite new additions. The little feather tree has dried oranges and my applesauce cinnamon gingerbread men. Monday, November 10, 2014. Many craft proj...

Wedded Bliss Road: College Roommate Reunion
http://road2weddedbliss.blogspot.com/2015/07/college-roommate-reunion.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. This weekend I was able to get together with my college roommates. Christina and I were roommates all four years, and Jen and Lorie joined us for the last two years, although we were friends with them before that. It's been about 15 years since all four of us have been together, and we had the best time. We brought photo albums from college and had so much fun looking at the pictures and laughing. Love those smiling faces! Lasting friendships stand the. July 29, 2015 at 12:20 AM.
