What kind of a day has it been then. Well P got out of bed determined to get a treatment in and then promptly reversed the tractor into the outside tap, breaking it and sending water pissing everywhere! Our life on a French Vineyard. Monday, 18 June 2012. We're feeling slightly up against it and it's now 10.20pm and P is out rotovating still. We've spent the day loading the hopper of the spreader full of lime and fertiliser. Spreading said stuff, which I'm guessing I shouldn't have inhaled so much of as my lungs are not happy, and periodically pulling P out of which ever part of overly boggy vineyard he's got stuck in. And although that's clearly not going to happen at least some of it will be done.

I naively thought getting the things in the ground would be the majority of the battle. How wrong I was. Anyway, ding ding round one finished, rounds 2-100 no-doubt still to come. Our life on a French Vineyard. Thursday, 17 January 2013. Well whoo hoo the second day of the dreaded spraying course is over. I can't remember the last time I wanted to something less, but its done. I'm still not 100% certain that I'll get the permit without further issues but the actual 16hrs of French instructional course is over. Especially as I took the executive decision to prune my roses this week as they were all bursting into bud. Typical! P and C , fat lula (in spirit) Y.U.

Our life on a French Vineyard. Friday, 22 March 2013. We went over to R and S's today to help with the bottling. I had no idea what it involved but found it astonishing. A man-and-his-bottling-van turned up and plugged himself in and bottles were loaded at one end, filled, corked and spat out the other end where we loaded them into crates. P and I then came back, after a very lovely lunch in the sunshine, and finished winding up our wires in the parcel we are arraching this year. View my complete profile.
