MAREE GILES: New Job
http://mareegiles.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-job.html
Sunday, October 26, 2008. In September I took up my new posting as a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund, http:/ www.rlf.org.uk/. Working with Business and Law students at Kingston University, http:/ business.kingston.ac.uk/. Hill, so the air feels fresher than the main campus in Kingston town, which is clogged. When it's quiet there's time for my own writing. I'm working on several ideas for new novels, doing a lot of reading about India and the forgotten palaces of Kolkata, logging in Victoria, Austr...

http://mareegiles.blogspot.com/2008/09/autumn-2008.html
Monday, September 22, 2008. Another birthday, another year . . . time is whizzing by these days and another visit to Australia is just around the corner! The British summer has been a wash-out, nothing but grey skies and rain, but September has been kinder with some lovely sunny days. Went to the London Food Fair on South Bank yesterday, buzzing with foodies trying organic cheeses, wines, honey, chocolate! If you want to know more click here: http:/ www.rlf.org.uk/. My sister has been in another amateur ...

When I'm not being Merry Raymond of Patch of Puddles, I'm writing as MerrilyMe. Unless I'm selling toys. Or parenting. Disclosure & Privacy. Gadgets & Tech. In no particular order at all, just as they popped into my head. Here are links to the websites of my favourite authors and Amazon links to my favourite books by them. I’m busy working on my Goodreads back catalogue, so you’ll probably find me adding to this list quite a lot! And adding book reviews. To the blog as I do them. Books which combine grea...

Deafinitely Girly: November 2014
http://www.deafinitelygirly.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 28 November 2014. Deaf Girly's Thankful (not Black) Friday. Today is Thankful Friday. And I am thankful that I am not one of the people that felt compelled to queue for something I didn't need while being photographed by The Daily Mail this morning. I am thankful that I do not need to buy anything so badly that I will lose a shoe running for it, or risk arrest scrapping with someone else because there is only one thing left. And then there's the pang. Every year about this time, I start to feel a...

Wondering Mind: April 2009
http://wondering-mind.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2009. It's been a long hard slog - both the gestation of my slowly evolving writing skills (if I have any - lol) and completing this NAW course. Tonight I put the finishing touches on my final project, thanks to some handy hints by our friend, Peter the Agent - who else can rely upon a literary agent for writing advise, eh? I've had a good think about this - it's extraordinary. It's deeply creative. It feels epic and archetypal. Could I sell it (sorry, but I'm an agent.) probably ...
