Gracious Hospitality: March 2015
http://www.gracioushospitality.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 22, 2015. Nestled in the small town of Stanford, Kentucky sits a cafe that is well worth the drive. It's one I kept hearing about from Kentucky friends and family. On the wedding week-end, a group of young people who arrived from Idaho and California for the event, joined Julia and Rylan made sure they enjoyed a hearty breakfast there before they started their Kentucky day and the busy wedding schedule! Now, who in the world would write an entire blog post about a restaurant? I'll admit tha...

Gracious Hospitality: June 2014

Monday, June 30, 2014. Quiet beauty. Fragrance. Flutter. The meadow is lush and green, thanks to the cool and rainy weather of June. It was a cabin day. Sudo, the city dog, is taking it all in and seems to find that country life appeals to her too. The view from our perch on the point. Yarrow fills the meadow. Sudo can run super fast! That's what greyhounds do! The wildflowers are beautiful and abundant right now. At dusk the woods can seem very dark! Time for a bit of a rest before we return home. Sudo ...

Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Red Floral Quilt 1855. Quilts have been on my mind. Somehow I've been pulled into stitching two new quilt tops. I always feel like I have accomplished something if I complete one, and now I have two that I am sewing on at the same time. A little bit here and a little bit there. I wonder - - will I actually achieve my goal of two completed quilt tops? Would you talk to the business owner about care of the gem of this antique quilt? Posted by La Tea Dah. Monday, March 10, 2014. March is blowing in with its usual force. It's blustery weather outside! The wind chimes go from moments of quiet to a full jingle of tinkling and noise! Gracious Hospitality: Aubrey's & Jamie's Party
http://www.gracioushospitality.com/2015/08/aubreys-jamies-party.html
Wednesday, August 05, 2015. Aubrey's and Jamie's Party. Once the ceremony was over, wedding guests were invited to enter the beautiful barn and fill seats at tables lined along the attic beams. Banners and lights created a festive scene! Pretty hand fans were set at each place, and were very helpful in the heat of the day. There were other cold drinks too, but unsweet tea that allows for the wonderful, full flavor of "tea" just hit the spot! And cookies of all types! Posted by La Tea Dah. A very relaxed,...

Gracious Hospitality: Aubrey & Jamie
http://www.gracioushospitality.com/2015/08/aubrey-jamie.html
Wednesday, August 05, 2015. Summer is the time of weddings, and this summer was no exception. The weddings of friend's children makes for special memories. Aubrey and Jamie were married by a pond in a garden setting in the shadow of a beautiful, old barn. Nearby, blueberry harvest was in full swing! The contrast of pickers and festive western attire created both unity and contrast. From the smallest of the guests, you could feel the joy and excitement as you waited for the bridal party to arrive. Welcome...

It's dairy free and eggless and can be poured into a regular pie crust or into a nut or graham cracker crust as well. 3 1/2 cups vanilla flavored rice milk. 1/2 cup agave syrup or honey. 2 cups unsweetened coconut, fine. 2 tablespoons coconut extract. Use gluten free crust if necessary. Posted by La Tea Dah. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to Gracious Hospitality.
