Gardening under the Northern Lights: Will it ever happen?
http://gardeninginthenorthernlights.blogspot.com/2011/09/will-it-ever-happen.html
Gardening under the Northern Lights. The trials and tribulations of gardening in northern Alberta. Saturday, September 17, 2011. Will it ever happen? We've been talking about "retiring", selling the farm and blowing all our money on vacations, boats and fancy furniture.just kidding, but we have been talking about down sizing. This is the whole site, it's about 10 acres in total. One of the old maple trees. Where the house would sit, just to the left of the mule in the 2nd picture. Then there is that litt...

Gardening under the Northern Lights: January 2012
http://gardeninginthenorthernlights.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Gardening under the Northern Lights. The trials and tribulations of gardening in northern Alberta. Thursday, January 12, 2012. I was hesitant to throw it out cause it was made from all sorts of things - old apple box ends, plywood and was definitely home made, something close to my heart. So the other day I decided to make something of it.a bookcase. One can never have enough book cases! I learned something new though, no one handles wall paper anymore! What a job that was! I framed the inside of the doo...

Ink Out of Sync: When Pigs Fly
http://inkoutofsync.blogspot.com/2009/05/when-pigs-fly.html
Ink Out of Sync. Thursday, May 28, 2009. It had rained all day. Actually, it had rained all week. The rain was a steady, penetrating rain. But, as often happens during the Spring in the river valley, the changing temperatures of the late afternoon provided a window of sunlight. To the west dark clouds were looming again, but there would be a few dry hours. Well, I thought, that's progress, I suppose. At least he said "black man.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What Is the Ink? Who is Out of Sync?

Gardening under the Northern Lights: August 2010
http://gardeninginthenorthernlights.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Gardening under the Northern Lights. The trials and tribulations of gardening in northern Alberta. Thursday, August 19, 2010. I haven't been here for a while, I guess I didn't have much to say. This summer has been different, not so much hot as humid. Even those days that were only about 75 degrees felt like 90! My flowers on the other hand have loved the rain and warm temperatures, so sadly have the weeds! I thought I'd share some pictures of the roses and lilies - the colours are so vibrant this year.

Gardening under the Northern Lights: The Accidental Garden
http://gardeninginthenorthernlights.blogspot.com/2012/06/accidental-garden.html
Gardening under the Northern Lights. The trials and tribulations of gardening in northern Alberta. Friday, June 29, 2012. In the fall of 2010 we decided to tear out the old deck and build a new smaller one, the space left over I thought would make a lovely little partly shaded perennial bed. In the spring of 2012 I planted some iris, a spirea, a couple of day lilies and plunked in my willow chair that is falling apart . June 30, 2012 at 7:15 AM. July 2, 2012 at 7:07 PM. July 2, 2012 at 5:00 PM. I love se...

Gardening under the Northern Lights: The End of Summer
http://gardeninginthenorthernlights.blogspot.com/2011/09/end-of-summer.html
Gardening under the Northern Lights. The trials and tribulations of gardening in northern Alberta. Saturday, September 3, 2011. The End of Summer. Summer is fast disappearing! The flowers in my planters are getting leggy, most of the perennials are done except for the roses and a couple of long blooming ones. But, larder is beginning to look filled. Beet pickles cooling on the counter and I still have enough beets to give away to a lady who didn't have any. September 3, 2011 at 10:36 PM. You should post ...

Ink Out of Sync: November 2008
http://inkoutofsync.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Ink Out of Sync. Friday, November 21, 2008. This is not…. This is not René Magritte. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. For Sexism, Press 4. Being the pessimist that I am, you would think nothing could surprise me…. There are four individuals in my office: three males (Mr. Difficult, Buck Buck, and myself) and one female (the Veggie Pirate). List grows ever longer…. As always, for the sake of privacy, a couple of chat-handles and a fantasy football name substitute for the real names. Thursday, November 13, 2008.

Ink Out of Sync: August 2009
http://inkoutofsync.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Ink Out of Sync. Monday, August 10, 2009. Everyone makes stupid mistakes. I feel like I'm particularly accomplished at them sometimes. Recently, I made a real lame-brain mistake at work. It was a total rookie moment that I cannot ( cannot. Believe I did. I fixed the problem, apologized profusely, and said a number of Hail Avid. When do I get to be forgiven? What is the statute of limitations on Stupid Error? Any workplace lawyers that want to take my case? Note: edited to correct spelin' mistake.).
