Heath Users' Group (HUG). The Heath Users' Group was started by Heath Company to help new users understand how to use their new computers. In the late '70s and early '80s, very few people had computers. HUG published a magazine called REMark. It was initially published quarterly, but that changed to monthly, within a few years. BUSS - The Independent Newsletter of Heath Co. Computers. The BUSS Newsletter was published and edited by Charles Floto. He also founded SEXTANT. Issues started in April 1977 (according to a list included in issue #9) and continued through March 7, 1989 (issue #159). I have issue #7 - #9, #12 - #159 and copies of #10 and #11. Prior to Heath Company being purchased by Zenith Data Systems (ZDS), Heath offered an assembled H89 as the WH89. The W most likely referred to 'Wired', vs. the H-89 which came in kit version. Identical to Heath Company's H89. Kit computer, but the WH89 came factory assembled. From the 1979 Heath Catalog:. WH89 Completely Assembled All-In-One Computer with floppy disk system. FigForth - 8080 H-89 FORTH V1.12. In a recent acquisition, I received 3 disks labeled Going Forth - Forth Operating System. These appear to be original distribution disks and included a serial number. In the disk image, I found ADAPTED TO HEATH H89 - ZENITH Z89 BY HAYDON ENTERPRISES From LA HONDA, CALIFORNIA. From what I could find about on the internet, it appears that figForth was placed in the public domain. Side A - h17disk format. Side B - h17disk format. Side C - h17disk format.

The Heathkit H-8 Computer was the first computer offered by Heath Company. It was only available in kit form. The computer required additional components such as a terminal and some type of storage system to make it useful. The H-8 supported both cassette storage and disk storage.
