The Committee performs a wide range of jobs to run the BDFAS. This includes keeping membership records, arranging lecture series, organising study days, trips and holidays, awarding bursaries to schools and funding. Arts projects for schoolchildren. There are roles which involve hosting the lecturer before and after meetings, organising the lecture programme itself and overseeing the recording of church artefacts. Lectures take place between September and the following May on the third Monday of the month. They are open to BDFAS members and their guests and take place in Lecture Theatre One in the University of Bristol School of Chemistry. Lectures are presently held at the University of Bristol, Chemistry Department. Is on Cantocks Close, off Woodland Road and there is parking on Woodland road itself as well as both under and behind the Chemistry building on Cantocks Close. April Study Day -.
