Nerdy Ramblings About My Ancestors. December 2, 2013. Thanksgiving was last Thursday and I spent it with my family! We had GREAT food and I was so full by the end of it. With inspiration from Mrs. Padilly. I started thinking about recipes of my ancestors. My grandma has always made a special chocolate cake with “7 Minute Frosting” for as long as I can remember, and she made it for Thanksgiving this year as well! And my mom made a sweet potato dish that was my dad’s grandma’s recipe. 1 large onion, chopped.
