Tuesday, December 05, 2006. Gears of War - Review. The hype machine really went into overdrive on this one. What with Peter Moore and Epic’s own Cliffy B continually praising the game, breaking through the hyperbole and getting to the core of the game, up until release that is, has proved rather difficult. Should keep most busy and with the cliff hanger ending, it shouldn’t be too long till were back in the fight with Marcus and the rest of the Gears. Tuesday, December 05, 2006. The Revolutionary Arts: April 2008
http://gamesmediaculture.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 13, 2008. Cars, which have always been stunning, now look ultra-realistic. This new viewpoint adds immensely to the realism of the racing, there is only one small problem. Sunday, April 13, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Games and modern culture! The way...

Thursday, January 31, 2008. A visit to Lion Head Studios? Tomorrow, as part of my course in magazine journalism I’m heading down to Guildford to Lion Head Studios. I’ve been asked to write a profile on somebody within the public eye. After much thought and careful consideration I decided to shoot for the stars and give Peter Molyneux a bell and see if he was available. I’m so excited that I’m going to explain to you one of the more exciting areas in Molyneuxs up and coming blockbuster Fable 2. Check out ...

Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Blade Runner: A look into film form. How can we effectively analyse film form, and what do we learn from doing this? Using any film other than those studied on the module, analyse its construction, in particular choosing one short segment for close examination. Important role in making the image we see. The film opens on a huge miniature of the LA skyline, with lots of lights, buildings and flying cars, this scene immediately sets an audiences imagination running at the ...

The Revolutionary Arts: Grand Theft Idiots
http://gamesmediaculture.blogspot.com/2008/05/im-sure-everyone-is-pretty-sick-of.html
Monday, May 05, 2008. I’m sure everyone is pretty sick of reading about GTA4, but feel I need to throw in my two cents for good measure. It was only when we were allowed into the shop that I noticed ahead of me in the queue was a schoolboy, complete with school uniform. He was obvio...
