Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : September 2014
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Friday, September 26, 2014. Settling into the Semester. Our semester, like all have been so far, is pretty busy. Hannah especially. She goes running down the sidewalk with me on occasion. I like how she will hold my hand then. Usually she tries to get away so she can explore. Today we bought a sub sandwich and went to the park. Around here, every nice day in September could be your last until May. Posted by Mary Rice. Sunday, September 7, 2014. One of the tough things a...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : November 2014
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Thursday, November 27, 2014. 2nd Thanksgiving in Kansas. This year marked our second Thanksgiving in Kansas. We will start our third year here in January. I got up early and watched the parade from the comfort of my bedroom. My favorite balloon was the Hello Kitty flying the plane. I could swear they had something similar last year. When we were all up, Hannah and I made some little foam turkeys. Posted by Mary Rice. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Here's where we went gr...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : June 2015
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Another Week of Summer Fun. Hannah went to see Inside/Out. She liked it. I didn't think it was aged right for her. She said her favorite character was ANGER. Here she is inside the theatre waiting to go in. No trace of anger anywhere. When it wasn't storming, it was hot, hot, hot. Hannah and Brian broke out the "puddling pool" as it is called. This is a very inspiring summery shot, I think. Posted by Mary Rice. Sunday, June 21, 2015. I even though...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : Celebrating Pioneer Day
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2015/07/celebrating-pioneer-day.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Playing in the sand. At the doll making station. Riding around in a handcart. The handcart was her favorite. She actually took several rides and was a bit fussy when I told her it was time to go. It has been really hot around here. Temperatures over 100 degrees and heat indexes at almost 120. We left the party by 10:30 am so we didn't swelter. But overall, a really good time. Posted by Mary Rice. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This baby likes...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : March 2015
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Getting ready for Easter. In truth I am glad that she likes to make stuff. I am huge fan of sitting and cutting or coloring or making something to pass time. She is pretty good for a three year old, too. Posted by Mary Rice. Saturday, March 21, 2015. Last Saturday we went to Olive Garden (my friend had sent us a gift card) to celebrate my comprehensive exams. Hannah ordered a pepperoni pizza and she really liked the breadsticks. On Friday I went ...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Saturday, February 21, 2015. Valentine's Day and other fun. She calls herself a shopkeeper and "charges" me for books and necklaces and things. Sometimes I talk her into a discount. Posted by Mary Rice. Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Posted by Mary Rice. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Valentines Day and other fun. A little Bit of Christmas. Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : October 2014
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Friday, October 31, 2014. Hannah reprised her costume as Dorothy. She brought her little dog too, to Trick or Treat. All week we had great warm weather and then today it never got higher than 45 degrees. Brian's camera wasn't set right for the dark so the pictures during candy gathering are not very clear. When we got home I showed Hannah the joys of counting and sorting her candy. She took to it like a duck to water. It made me so proud. Posted by Mary Rice. She took a...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : January 2015
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Sunday, January 25, 2015. Hannah is at a point where she likes to do projects and such. My time has to be carefully planned so that we can make things and when we do, we have to do things that are easy. I was a craft store and I found this foam post office that is supposed to be sort of a Valentine's Day box and it was 60 percent off, so I bought it. When I brought it home and gave it to Hannah she clapped and cheered, saying "Oh this is just what I always wanted! The g...

Quick Successions: Kansas Edition : A Day for Fathers
http://rice2002.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-day-for-fathers.html
Quick Successions: Kansas Edition. Sunday, June 21, 2015. A Day for Fathers. Hannah is old enough to participate fully in Father's Day. So this year I let her help pick the gifts and supervised her making a card. She gave her dad a tie, tie tack from his mission, and a Star Wars children's book that they could read together. At church Hannah went up to sing the Father's Day song with the other children, but they tried to get her to stand in a crowd of people and she recoiled and so they stuck her on the ...
