Not “nippy”. So we asked around. Turns out Barstow is the only oasis (take that euphemisticly) between holiday/retirement locations in Arizona and California. So, folks were either coming or going. Plus, there was 145 miles of Mojave desert heading east on I-40 to the next city with motels, Needles. Here I Go Again.
