Ginger in the Kitchen: Blueberry & Lavender "Lumples"
http://gingerinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2014/08/blueberry-lavender-lumples.html
Ginger in the Kitchen. Eat drink. make. love. Saturday, August 23, 2014. Blueberry and Lavender "Lumples". I immediately started joining Kathy in her home on Saturday mornings for my weekly lady lessons, as we liked to call them. I learned how to properly make pimento cheese, bagels, pies, and my very favorite treat to date, "Lumples." Well, that's what she called them. A sort of scone, muffin, pastry lump-of-a-thing. Blueberry and Lavender "Lumples". Makes about 8 Lumples. 1 teaspoon kosher salt. So tha...
Ginger in the Kitchen: Gingerbread Chai Protein Shake
http://gingerinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2014/08/gingerbread-chai-protein-shake.html
Ginger in the Kitchen. Eat drink. make. love. Monday, August 11, 2014. Gingerbread Chai Protein Shake. Two things about today:. 1 I am beyond tired because poor Penelope (mutt #4 out of 6 currently residing in the Keith house) was up all night with a double ear infection and terrible allergies.resulting in yours truly being up all night cuddling with poor Penelo-puppy. That was not an enjoyable vet visit this morning. Ugh. 2 I am sick of summer. I wish it was fall. That's all. 2 teaspoons ground ginger.

Ginger in the Kitchen. Eat drink. make. love. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Cinque Terre: Five Things About the Five Towns. I thought it was when I woke Rich up at 6am to tell him.) As my devoted reader(s) you've come to expect a certain level of adorable punnyness and this ginger would never leave you wanting more. Though, I'm sad to say, that is exactly what Cinque Terre did to us. Ok, ok. some of you are going to GASP. 1 Bring your fanny pack. Yup. Do it. Haven't used one in awhile? Holy profanity. t...
Ginger in the Kitchen: Homemade Vanilla Bean Yogurt
http://gingerinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2014/08/homemade-vanilla-bean-yogurt.html
Ginger in the Kitchen. Eat drink. make. love. Friday, August 15, 2014. Homemade Vanilla Bean Yogurt. About two years ago, I convinced Richard that if I got a yogurt maker I would definitely, for sure make homemade yogurt every week. I have used it once. and I didn't end up eating any of the yogurt. Please note: the home exercise bike is still functioning as an expensive clothes hanger. But when I look at it, I do feel skinnier. Homemade Vanilla Bean Yogurt. 3/4 cup store bought, plain yogurt. In a saucep...

Ginger In The Bayou City
Ginger In The Bayou City. This blog chronicles my experiences living in the very large and diverse city of Houston, TX. I’ve heard talk of the hot and humid weather conditions of Houston which I will admit freak me out. How will I, a gal with neon white skin and freckles and the added “bonus” (sarcasm) of not sweating much, be able to survive and even pretend to manage to get by in those conditions? As you can see there were only 4 months of temperatures in the 90s and only six 100-degree days. And that&...

gingerinthesix – Fun in Toronto!
The Toronto Baker’s Market. The Toronto Baker’s Market. December 10, 2016. Every month, the Toronto Baker’s Market. Is held in the city’s east and west ends. The one I went to last Sunday with my friend Rita was held at the Great Hall on Queen West. It’s no secret that I enjoy a baked treat. So when I heard about this market full of treats, I practically ran there. And by ran there, I mean ran to catch an Uber since I was feeling particularly lazy that day. Pop Tarts from Sugar Rush Bakery. At this point...

Ginger in Training | My Training Journey
November 10, 2012. Gosh, its been 9 months since I have been on here. In that 9 months I have become incredibly selfish, stingy, guarded and isolated. My self and my home are no longer open and welcoming. I am ready and willing to vomit up many reasons and excuses. But in the end, I am left with just my own sin. They have spend holidays with us. They have used our showers. I have done their laundry. My family has hung out at their camp for countless hours. I used to love having them over. February 6, 2012.
