Friday, March 6, 2009. The Way We Looked In 1963 And In 2005. My sister, Christine, had cancer and was going through treatments when this picture was taken. I am so thankful we had the chance to finally be together that Christmas. I had been hoping all my life to get a family group photo of all of us. Thank God! Christine died the next year in October, so that was her last Christmas. I made these collages to show how we all looked the year mom died (1963) and in 2005. We were all so pissed about that!

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. I remember when it was cold in the house she'd always stand on the registers to get warm. I can still see her standing over that one in the living room, rubbing her hands and trying to stay warm. Then she'd get off and get cold. No wonder she got Pneumonia. They left with Pam and we didn't see her again. When my father came home he told us that Pam was going to live with the Zuis's in Herkimer. And that she'd have a nice home. Years and years later I did run in to him a few times. One time he even asked me if I wanted to continue where we left off years ago. Ha! He wasn't my type. Whatever that means.
