Nearly eight years have passed since Roald Dahl died, and his children's books have become only more and more popular, with reissues, movie adaptations and a burgeoning new fan club. Since I established this web site in the summer of 1996 as a strictly non-commercial. Commemoration of Roald Dahl, I have received 1,000 hits per month, and tons of mail from every corner of the globe. The man may be gone, but Roald Dahl will be around for years to come. Gremlins and other rarities

Roald Dahl's very first book for children was The Gremlins. Published in 1943. It is very rare, as there were probably fewer than 5,000 published, worldwide. It was done in conjunction with Walt Disney (the man, not just the company), who planned to make an animated film of it as well. Although the book was published, the film project was dropped. In November, 1993, I found a copy of The Gremlins. For the first time, and purchased it on the spot. Here's more about my copy of The Gremlins.
