My Walkabout: The Lion's Mane
http://www.mywalkabout.net/2015/08/the-lions-mane.html
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;. There is society, where none intrudes. By the deep sea, and music in its roar:. I love not man the less, but Nature more. In the unincorporated town of Springfield, Wisconsin, there was a coffee shop and bike rental, and a small campground in someones backyard. As I park in a dirt alley road, I find one more jewel, the White River State Trail. I come to a road with an old man sitting in an idle car. He beckons me closer, looking for directions. Claire's Last Day o...

My Walkabout: Mexican Mountain
http://www.mywalkabout.net/2015/08/mexican-mountain.html
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;. There is society, where none intrudes. By the deep sea, and music in its roar:. I love not man the less, but Nature more. It's the morning golden hour in the San Rafael Swell, but I rise not to capture the sunrise, but to get my blood pumping, my heart racing, my juices flowing along the newly discovered Mexican Mountain trail. There is nothing quite like discovering a new trail, then having the scenery all to yourself in the peaceful hours of a San Rafael morning.

My Walkabout: four wheels & cottontails

There is a rapture on the lonely shore;. There is society, where none intrudes. By the deep sea, and music in its roar:. I love not man the less, but Nature more. Four wheels and cottontails. Love is inclusive. It Unites. It knows not of separation. Grow in the Light of Love. And it's Heaven's Promise. That you will be fulfilled. These words rattle around my skull as I shift into gear and follow the road until it turns into dirt, leaving the cabins and trailers behind in the morning dust. What to Do When...

My Walkabout: January 2015

There is a rapture on the lonely shore;. There is society, where none intrudes. By the deep sea, and music in its roar:. I love not man the less, but Nature more. It's the evening of the first day of 2015, and I make my way through the rusty iron back gates of the Sorrel-Weed house. Built in the early 1840's, the magnificent architecture of this place is foreshadowed by a darker history. Francis has set up private quarters in the carriage house ( behind the main house) for his secret love affair. Mat...

Ryan Adams is instantly recognizable as he walks onto the stage, but it's only 8pm. He matter of factly says his name as he walks up to the mic and introduces the opening band. Wardell.I like to describe them as if Tears for Fears came from that planet on Avatar." I laugh, yet Ryan described them perfectly. Labels: a day in the life. As the jun...

My Walkabout: the new henhouse
http://www.mywalkabout.net/2015/08/the-new-henhouse.html
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;. There is society, where none intrudes. By the deep sea, and music in its roar:. I love not man the less, but Nature more. In memory of Grandpa Leo, his old hen house from his winter home in Yuma was brought up to Fruitland after his passing in 2009. It served us well as a great place for dinners and games under the mountain stars. Time and the elements took it's toll though, as it does on all things. So my brother decides to construct a new, sturdier hen house.

Seth's Blog - Purer And More Essential Than Yours: Sit Down, Shut Up, And Let Me Take Your Picture
http://sethdadams.blogspot.com/2015/03/sit-down-shut-up-and-let-me-take-your.html
Seth's Blog - Purer And More Essential Than Yours. Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Sit Down, Shut Up, And Let Me Take Your Picture. I recently went on a 25-day Grand Canyon float trip with 13 other people. With such a big group, the people inevitably became as important to the trip as the scenery and the river. And what a group! Our group dynamics were great and I have a rippling six-pack of abdominal muscles now* from laughing so much. This is a lie. Because I don't remember any of this shit.". I know Carla ...
