I’ve lamented the end of Summer, but I am excited for Fall running! It also doesn’t hurt that I just ordered myself some fun new cold-weather gear and am excited to wear it. With the first race of the season. Behind me, I’m starting to look at my calendar and get excited about all the awesome races I have coming up in the next couple of months! November 6&7, 15ish miles...

Half Marathon James: Running In The Dark
http://www.halfmarathonjames.com/2016/01/running-in-dark.html
Training For A Sub 1.25 Half Marathon. Thursday, 21 January 2016. Running In The Dark. This evening's run was a toughie, and not the most pleasant run I have ever had. It was one of those times that I just did not want to leave the house, and even as I was lacing my running shoes my mind was trying to find a way out of running. And so I laced up my shoes, layered up and drove to the secluded, quiet towpath, away from all the rush hour traffic. I was out the door. I was doing this. Time for a run Tubs.

MCRRC Jingle Bell Jog. January 4, 2016. January 4, 2016. This was the last race of 2015! Where did the year go? It was an unseasonably warm 54 degrees that day, hence the t-shirt. My BRF, Tamieka @ Fit Balling Running Mom. Let me borrow a tutu and belt for the occasion. We also ran into Jeri from our MRTT group. It was a surprising hilly course, but then again it seems hard to find anywhere flat to run in this area. Off Season LUNA Ladies and Friends. Do you ever dress up for races? The Turkey Trots Recap.

Presque Isle Marathon Race Recap. September 28, 2015. September 28, 2015. He has a lot of health problems, so it is difficult for him to get around. Also a huge shout out to my mom for coming. She’s a nurse with a crazy work schedule, so she was functioning on basically no sleep. It meant the world to me that so many people came out to watch me run. This day was also my sister-in-law’s wedding day. It was such a chilly and rainy day! I had some fancy Keurig coffee and made my ritual pre-race breakfast: P...

Living and Training at 7000ft. Skip to primary content. September 30, 2015. This week has been feeling so long for some reason. I’m counting down our days until our getaway to the Sierras in a few weeks, so I have a feeling everything is going to feel slow until we’re in the car on our way! I think I inadvertently gave myself a little rest break in between tapering for the half, and then taking the week after super easy. I feel really pumped and excited to start stepping up my training! And then spent th...
