Midnight in Edmonton: January 2015
http://midnightinedmonton.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 15 January 2015. I've been absent from this blog for quite some time, but for good reason: I had a baby boy in August (yay! Who then spent the first three and a half months of his life in the Stollery Children's Hospital (boo! But who finally came home in December (yay! I have a much more detailed account of Silas's tumultuous journey through the Stollery on his CarePages website. I know I'm biased, but what a cute kid! And Odin's pretty awesome too! Midnight in Edmonton: March 2015
http://midnightinedmonton.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 March 2015. I thawed my last frozen bottle of milk from the freezer today. It feels like the end of an era! When Silas came home from the hospital in December I filled a small freezer with bottles of milk that I had pumped while Silas was NPO in the NICU and PICU. I'm not sure exactly how many bottles were in the freezer, but I'm guessing at least 500-600 bottles! I'm so glad that all the pumping paid off and that all the milk was able to be used to feed my little boy. Sunday, 29 March 2015.

Needles and Spokes: Ride the Road Tour
http://needlesandspokes.blogspot.com/2011/06/ride-road-tour.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. Ride the Road Tour. On June 5, W and I attended the Ride the Road Tour. It was an organized bike ride through the streets of downtown and surrounding areas - however, we had a police escort that basically closed the streets to vehicular traffic in order for us to pass through. As a result, we got to cycle some busy streets that many people might not normally have the courage to ride on! Stanley Park is far from where we live so we took the train:. They had beautiful bikes and we ha...

Midnight in Edmonton: 8 months!
http://midnightinedmonton.blogspot.com/2015/04/8-months.html
Thursday, 23 April 2015. 8 months old and such a handsome fella (if I do say so myself! At 16 pounds and 27.5 inches, he's continuing to grow really well. The biggest change this past month? Silas is not a big fan of the wind or the bright sun, but he likes watching everything going on in the neighbourhood, especially anything to do with water - sprinklers and hoses are a favourite. 1 May 2015 at 21:48. Aww he is so sweet! He is growing so fast too! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Joy in the journey.

Thursday, 21 August 2014. It's hard to believe that Malala is only 17 years old. Her memoir, I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban,. Like the Prisoner of Tehran. Sunday, 17 August 2014. 40 weeks and counting . so what's a pregnant girl to do but read? Farewell et Adieu, Home and Native Land: March 2011
http://mythstin.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Farewell et Adieu, Home and Native Land. Things I Enjoy About the DR. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. The last month has been a bit of a whirlwind. It has been a bit of an adjustment, in a lot of ways, but also fairly easy in other aspects. I have even got to take in 2 Oilers' games since I got back, and even though we lost both of the games, it felt really good to be singing my national anthem, drinking Molson and cheering on my team! Saturday, March 5, 2011. Hurray for becoming acclimatized! Also, when I'm ou...

Farewell et Adieu, Home and Native Land: December 2010
http://mythstin.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Farewell et Adieu, Home and Native Land. Things I Enjoy About the DR. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Out and About in Edmonton. Face tuck when the wind blows. Full face showing when wind isn't blowing. After I bought a few gifts, I hopped on the LRT to go to Holt Renfrew. I had a particular item I wanted to pick up for Bart, but when I got there, I found out that they only carry it in their Vancouver and Toronto stores. So I ended up just getting him some awesome socks! It was a nice evening! I also had a fe...

Trees Breeze: January 2014
http://treesbreeze.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
When I'm walking under trees I'm free to covet all I please -Neko Case. Monday, January 27, 2014. Rarely am I involved in meeting adoption candidates for our foster animals. Friday I had the pleasure of delivering Ella, a black beauty of a kitten, to good friends in Chetwynd. They were looking for a companion for their male Pomerian and the male of the couple has always had cats around. I did not hesitate for a second to recommend them as new owners to On Our Way Home's President. It takes her two to thr...
