Saturday, February 20, 2010. I am glad to have learned this as I can see how it will be a very handy skill! One thing I did have a problem with was the first time I did it, the scale was for some reason not linked to the map scale. In fact I couldn't type in the scale like normal so I had to start over. I think it may have either been due to me adding all three layers at the same time but am not sure. Anyway, here are my total RMS error values:. North Map - 1st order = 8.00246.
