Just another day in the life! Yep, I got inked. The Mdot is self explanitory - except that it means so much more than a brand to me, it was an experience, a journey and an accomplishment. The Fleur de Lis is for Louisville (where we did our first IM) and the 10 is because Paul and I did our first IM to celebrate our 10th anniversary. How sick and twisted is that? Just another day in the life! It’s a Whole New World. Tuesday I was up at 5 to get my workout done before I had to get the kids up and going, then get myself showered and out the door by 7am for a meeting. It was mid getting kids up when it hit me, I am no longer a stay at home mom that works some. I am now a full time working mom. I fully understood that when I said:. 8216;I can either be at the start of your track meet OR get groceries today, not both.’. I love it when things work. . . . Yep, same here!

Back in my ad days I had the obscure title of Media Planner and Buyer. It only made sense to people in the ad industry and I always had to explain myself to my friends. I’m sure you have noticed it in the retail stores: the Halloween decorations are hurriedly taken down on November 1st, only to be replaced by Christmas merchandise which are in turn taken over by chocolates and hearts for Valentine’s Day. She just learned how to bake bread and had been asking me for tips as she perfected her soft bun recipe. For my birthday, she made these amazing, and VERY CUTE, buns. 100% Whole wheat, just the way I like them. She even made a special tribute to my cat, Bailey, the brat. Such a thoughtful thing to do. A non-athlete takes a crack at triathlon. Monday, April 12, 2010. The countdown to my first half marathon begins. In less than 3 weeks, I will have done something I have never done before. I AM OFFICIALLY STOKED! I feel good. Strong. Inspired. Grateful. Yesterday I ran 10 miles - a distance which is probably nothing to most seasoned marathoners - but it's a big deal for me.
