My collection of recipes and other kitchen related topics. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Beef Barley Soup is one of our favorites. I like to make a big (Crock-pot) of it on a nice, chilly day. My collection of recipes and other kitchen related topics. Monday, November 16, 2009. Taco / Enchilada Filling. A few weeks ago, we were in the mood for tacos for dinner. I usually use a taco seasoning packet but we didn't have any left in our pantry. Instead of sending Joe out to pick up a seasoning packet or just planning something else for dinner, I decided to check out my cookbooks and see if I could find a basic recipe that I could match up with items in my pantry. 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef.
