Where to go & What to do. Overlooking Godshill’s lush green lawn is The Lodge, the main house sleeping up to 10 (including a mezzanine kids retreat). Each main bedroom is serviced with a private ensuite as well as a separate bathroom for the mezzanine sleeping area. Highlights of The Lodge include the Bird Watcher’s Bar (an alfresco space adjoining the forest, featuring a fire pit and custom-made wooden seating) and the Games Room, complete with a pool table.

Where to go & What to do. Godshill’s West Wing is an adults-only retreat for discerning guests who appreciate luxurious touches. It’s an open plan pavilion-style space surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows, with the elevated king bed overlooking a large open fireplace. There is a full-size kitchen complete with everything you need for a self-catered getaway, including a large oven, cooktop and plenty of bench space.

Bunya Mountains – Great Dividing Range. The Bunya Mountains is part of the Great Dividing Range which rise abruptly to over 1000 metres from the surrounding countryside, about 150km from the coast. The name Bunya comes from the native bunya pine trees that grow here. Every three years, these distinctive, dome-shape crown trees produce heavy crops of bunya pine cones, which are edible nuts about the size of a football.
