Monday, April 05, 2010. November 2009 with the Girlies. Ray decided that the drive was not unpleasant enough for the passengers, so he called upon his vast network of used and damaged electronics purveyors to purchase a CB radio, a technological marvel in 1976 that Ray kept using well into early 1993. He rigged a 'squawk box' (speaker) so that it hung right by his ear and he would listen to truckers report the conditions of our nations roadways. 2 Chiefly Southern U.S. We kept the tradition almost every ...

Sunday, January 20, 2008. December with the Girlies. For our girlies first Christmas we decided to go to Minnesota ( click here. For official soundtrack), where Kim's brother Stevie lives. Stevie works for one of the big consumer product firms (I can't remember which one, as he doesn't like to talk about it much) and has three boys, each more strapping than the next. And touching his big snotty dog nose. Stevie also has a Nintendo Wii, which was fun, but I felt bad for my young nephews because I repeated...

Friday, July 25, 2008. It is typical for families who adopt girls from China. To refer to the day they met their daughters as 'Gotcha Day.' I don't know how to feel about the term - it always makes me. Think of that movie ('Gotcha') where the kid from 'Revenge of the Nerds' was a college student and expert paint-ball. Anyway, I really don't want my girlies to have anything to do with the kid from 'Revenge of the Nerds'. He is now an old bald guy, like me). Here are some photos:. Kim and Liz, hugging:.

Tuesday, April 06, 2010. December 2009 with the Girlies. December was groovy - sledding in the park, Santa,. Songs are supposed to have a catchy melody, several verses, and maybe even a dc al Coda if you are feeling a bit experimental, but by no means should they go on and on and on with no point or direction. This is also one of the dozens of reasons why I absolutely despise the Doors). Sally decorating the Christmas Tree. Both girlies getting ready to decorate the tree - Amelia is still Spidergirl.

But Kim works in HIV, and contrary to what the Germans would have you believe, her company and others like it are doing amazing things to develop drugs that make HIV a treatable condition instead of a death sentence. They also focus on helping people in less-developed parts of the world gain access to life-saving drugs, which is having a huge impact on millions of people in places like western and southern Africa. Friday, September 07, 2007. My Aunts in Town. As many of you know, Kim and I started the adoption process in January 2005, and logged our information with China in October 2005. We didn't tell anyone about our adoption because we didn't want to be hassled by people asking us questions all the time, like 'When are you going to China? And, well, pretty much just that. But we did tell a few people, including my Uncle Ron and his young, trophy wife Debbie. She is the sister of my beloved Grandma Mary Jayne.
