Gonzaga-in-Cagli 2011
Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Corpus Christi from Another Perspective. CORPUS CHRISTI IS A. Cagli was celebrating its second procession of 2011. This time it was going to pass by the street where I happen to be living in. Neighbors, friends, everybody, get together for the event. Every detail is thoroughly taken care of, each square meter is filled with graphics, flowers and farina. Green leaves decorate the sides of the street, being this, the result of the conjunction of committed hands and meticulous minds.

Gonzaga-in-Cagli 2012
Sunday, July 22, 2012. What is the deal with all this noise pollution? I understand that we are living in compact housing, the streets are narrow, neighbors are close, and all the stone walls and hard surfaces reflect noise of any kind. But what’s with the acceptance of loudness at the most inappropriate times of the day? I am the only one that thinks normal sleeping hours are generally 11:00pm to 7:00am? Sidewalks, Bike Lanes, and Cobblestones. So have the tiny streets that wind in and out and up and do...

Gonzaga in Cagli 2013
Saturday, July 13, 2013. The good fortune to advance. While I upped my Italian language skills, as an example, our study of culture has been much broader than applications within this single country. Organizations and institutions maintain and develop cultures, and I see tremendous beauty and strength in the diversity of cultures found in the United States. Even if I was unable to travel abroad again in my life, by interacting with different people, anywhere, my intercultural journey will continue. Alas,...

Gonzaga-in-Cagli 2014 Student Intercultural Blog
Saturday, July 12, 2014. Spending the last two weeks in Cagli, I have had the opportunity to see a few of the 14 churches. They are beautiful but appear to be dull from the outside. Their doors are open, welcoming you in to visit. This observation was small culture shock for me because in the towns that I have lived in in America church doors are closed and possibly locked. Sit Down Please…. I then proceeded to hear two different Italian men tell me I need to sit or try to give me their chair. I expl...

Gonzaga in Derry 2013
See Profiles or Blog Stories. We ARE all in this together. While it has been a month since I first landed in Derry/Londonderry, I will always keep a special place in my heart for that place that is .peace. At least, a hope for a lasting peace. As I have been inspired by the work that folks at The Junction are doing, there are also individuals here and there who are continuing the work, either naturally as breathing, or deliberately and intently. Christmas Around the World. The new blankets of lights.

Gonzaga-in-Zambezi | Gonzaga Travels to Zambia
Gonzaga Travels to Zambia. Kinship on a mourning run. June 15, 2017. This is my tenth year of leading this study abroad program in Zambezi. During this past decade, the people of Zambezi have continually welcomed us into their lives. As we strive to practice accompaniment, we see more of the community, both the beautiful and the painful. As you have read in the blog over the past month, students dive deep into the fabric of this community. I was taken back. Can you give us a couple shovels? June 14, 2017.
