Don't Postpone Joy: October 2008
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2008. We weren't quite sure how these sun glasses could work, but they are quite interesting. I went for the fish. Teresa lives on the edge and went for the sharks. This is us waiting for the bus to come and pick us up. We are really excited for the 2 hour ride to the Honolulu Zoo. From left to right: Kellene (that would be me), Rachel, Kim, and Teresa. Imitating the flamingos and looking lovely. This was Kim’s first time to a zoo and her first time seeing an elephant. Rachel’s ...

Don't Postpone Joy: Life Goes On
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2009/02/life-goes-on.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Even though Mom was there I still had to continue with school. Mom enjoyed watching me practice for my sight singing test and writing a research paper among other things. We did however get to do some fun non-music related things. TheBus is a great way to get to Matsumoto's shave ice (always a must) and Haleiwa Thai eats (delicious as well). Don't Postpone Joy: Salsa Concert (I'm way behind just in case you were wondering)
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2009/01/salsa-concert-im-way-behind-just-in.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Salsa Concert (I'm way behind just in case you were wondering). Well I figured I had better update my blog since it has been a while. hehe thirsty? SOOO I'll start and see how long it will take me to catch up. November 15th, 2008 was the salsa ensemble concert. It went quite well. My fan club was there so I got lots of cheers. That is always nice. The brass ensemble was supposed to play as well, however due to Bro Kammerer's (the director) heart trouble it was postponed.

http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2009/02/surprise.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Surprise - November 19, 2008. Mom surprised me by walking into my room the night of my Steel band concert. It was quite a shock but a very nice surprise. I enjoyed having her here to cheer for me. I was glad Mom was there. I am ashamed to say I didn't help taking down very much because everyone wanted my picture. My fan club including Teresa was there with my poster. They are Awesome! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Barker Family Journal.

Don't Postpone Joy: One Year Already?
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2010/03/one-year-already.html
Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Wow has it really been a year since my last post? Working towards being ready for my Senior Trumpet Recital and Graduation this April, and these are just a few of the Good things. Lots of Laughs, Tears, Learning, Growing, and being led to where I am now. I'm very grateful for the things I have learned and for who I have become just in the past year. Happy Birthday to ME! They are a little out of order but it is too much work to fix them). Mt Angel Monestary Natural History Museum.

Don't Postpone Joy: September 2008
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 14, 2008. Back in the Swing. We have had some eventful times already. A bird decided to pay us a call one morning and trying to get him to leave was a trick. We were finally able to throw a towel over it, scoop it up, and escort him outside. Pretty bird, but not the brightest. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). As a Graduate of BYU Hawaii and after serving in Nauvoo, I'm enjoying life and figuring out what to do with it! View my complete profile. The Barker Family Journal. Back in the Swing.

Don't Postpone Joy: University Chorale November 20, 2008
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2009/02/university-chorale-november-20-2008.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. University Chorale November 20, 2008. I was very lucky to get to sing in the chorale Fall semester. I never realize how much I miss singing until I get to sing. I have also gotten to know Bro K. well, and this way I got to know his wife who was the director better as well. Mom is not very sneaky with the picture taking. I saw her so I'm smirking, plus everyone around me thought that they needed to tell me she was there. :). The Kammerers and I. The "D.C." O's.

Don't Postpone Joy: November 2008
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

So I hadn't figured out what I wanted to be for Halloween and it was the afternoon/evening of Halloween and we decided to try and make my hair stick up with the aid of hangers but it was not working very well. It wasn't working so well and we were running out of time. it ended up that we messed up my hair majorly and I went as my hidden self. an insane woman. :). You better watch out we may end up at your door next year. hahahaha. Sunday, November 2, 2008. After we were done, we...

Don't Postpone Joy: Senior Recital
http://kelandlife.blogspot.com/2010/10/senior-recital.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. My Senior Recital went really well. I played 7 pieces altogether. I was able to play the Trumpet (Bb and C), a Flugelhorn, the Double Second Steel Pans, as well as sing for my original composition. Not a bad wrap up to four years of studying here. I can't thank Bro K enough for all his love and support the last four years. He has been my Professor, Bishop, Private Instructor, and Father away from home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
